You ventured into the empty halls. An almost eerie silence now enveloping you. Your footsteps being the only sound you could really hear. With the dimly lit hall seeming rather endless now with no sign of Lumin at all.

However, that was until an unexpected sound sliced through the silence. Causing your heart to skip a beat and swiftly turn to the source of the noise. Being met with a sleek, black cat peering intently at you from on top of the windowsill. And you came to a realization that it must have been Lumin's familiar.

With that thought in mind, you went over to the windowsill the cat was perched on. Watching as it merely tilted its head to you.

You paused for a moment and took a deep breath. "Binx? Do you think you could lead me to Lumin?" You questioned.

The cat blinks, appearing to almost understand your inquiry. Quickly hopping down from the windowsill to land gracefully on the floor infront of you. Then with a single look to you again, Binx turns and starts padding down the hall.

Your brows furrowed for a moment before you finally followed after the black cat. That seemed to glance back at you every so often to ensure you were as you two went through more halls.

Finally reaching the dining hall that was also extremely empty. Making you question if Binx was really just leading you to the courtyard. Which was soon proven right when he stopped at the door.

Now feeling the anticipation in the atmosphere that seemed to intensify the more you stood there. You took a look back down at Binx. His gaze meeting your (e/c) eyes, offering a quiet comfort in response. You merely nodded and reached out to push the door open. Feeling the cool air rush in as you stepped outside with the black cat not too far behind.

Your gaze sweeping over the fairly dark courtyard. Before stopping on the solitary figure seated beneath one of the large oak trees with their back turned to you. Seeming a bit hunched over with their head in their hands, trembling ever so slightly. While your familiar shapshifting creature seemed to be seated beside them.

Suddenly, Binx had rushed past you towards the figure. Rubbing up against the person's legs. While you slowly approached the three.

"You came to find me, huh?" Lumin softly asked as he brought his head up to glance at the cat. Seeming not to sense your presence quite yet.

And furthermore, you couldn't help but still be extremely uncertain on what you were doing. You had never really seen this state of Lumin before in contrast to his normal almost stoic like expressions. And that really concerned you.

You shook your head and proceeded to cautiously advanced towards the redhead. Soon calling out to him as you crouched down. "...Lumin?"

Lumin's eyes seemed to widen and his head snaps over to stare at you. His yellow eyes seeming to glisten now in the sunlight that had already started going down.

"Are you alright?" You asked. Receiving a sigh in return as he merely nods and turns away from you.

"I'm fine, (Y/n)," He spoke quietly. Not seeming to really match his words in your opinion. "I apologize for worrying you. But... thank you for coming to find me."

Nodding, you shifted to a more sitting position next to him. The silence seeming to deepen between you two now. As if the courtyard itself was holding its breath to the situation at hand.

You looked over at the two familiars that were now infront of you. Trying to find the right words to begin the next conversation with the red haired boy beside you.

"Lumin.." You slowly began. Breaking the silence as he merely hummed. Still not exactly looking at you as he simply stared up at the sky. "Do you want to talk about what happened in the coliseum?"

His hands seemed to twitch at your question, almost hesitating. Before he soon shook his head. "No, not now," He mumbled quietly. "I just want to stay here with you for a little while longer... Please."

You nodded with a worried expression. Taking a slight understanding of why he wouldn't want to discuss everything that occurred. Even though, it didn't help much to calm your nerves about it. With your thoughts a swirl of questions.

"Alright, I'll be right here." And slowly, you rested your head against his shoulder. Hoping to somehow give more of a silent reassurance.

To which he seemed to take with a sigh of relief. His hand slowly reaching out to take your (s/c) one. Causing you to give a light smile as you two remained in the courtyard together.

"Thank you, (Y/n)."

~Time Skip~

The morning light had casted through the skylight above you to Casta gentle glow over the room. While you merely pulled the comforter over you more. Thankful that today you wouldn't have any classes to attend to. Leaving you with as much time as you pleased to do things.

However, just as you were about to close your eyes once more, a sudden knock sounded from the door. A slew of curses coming from Cozbi as he shuffled over to the door.

You were now almost certain you wouldn't have to worry about the disturbance. Though, that proved to be only a fleeting hope as Cozbi had returned.

"Hey, get up! Someone's at the door for you," His teasing tone called out to you. And before you had much time to react, a sudden pillow had smacked you squarely in the face. "(Y/n), I'm serious!"

"Alright, I'm getting up," you grumbled out with a glare. Shoving away the pillow he had thrown at you. While Cozbi merely grinned at you in return.

You sighed softly with a shake of your head as you went towards the door. Trying to use your fingers to comb down your (h/c) hair. You took a quick glance at yourself in the mirror as you passed by it, deciding it would have to do.

Reaching your hand out to grasp the door handle and open it. Your (e/c) eyes falling on to the sight of Eloi standing in the corridor. His expression appearing to be rather nervous as he glanced around the hall before stopping on you. Offering an almost sheepish smile that seemed a bit to abnormal for him.

"Hey, (y/n)," He shyly greeted you. Causing you to grow a little more confused about why he was here. "I know this might be sudden, but... could we please go talk in the dining hall?"
