/3/ Is It Just A Rumor?

"You need to understand that at this Academy, there are always some unspoken rules that people here simply just follow," Cozbi began, while you tried your best to listen. Yet his expression gave you an uneasy feeling that you didn't particularly want to deal with. "One of those unspoken rules is that no one ever gets close to Lumin Aleksi. He's practically a menace to all of Enchanted Thorns Academy."

After he continued you had become quite confused. Lumin was a menace? Was he talking about the same redhead that escorted you here? But he didn't seem at all bad, just a little odd in some  cases and extremely quiet..

"What do you mean by that? I met Lumin when I got here and he really didn't seem that bad.." You muttered out as the second year looked at you like you were crazy.

"Sure, he may not seem so dangerous now, but trust me. The things he's capable of aren't things you should get involved with. It's definitely better to follow everyone else and just not get near him all together," he went on to explain, trying to convince you.

However, he was only managing to further confuse you. Causing you to try and question him more, but before you could, you were cut off by a ringing noise rhat came from the pocket of his robe. He pulled out a strange hand held device that almost seemed similar to a phone, but still not quite the same. Was that what the people here used instead of phones? Maybe you should ask someone about that later, you thought.

Cozbi quickly looked back at you. "Well, I've gotta go. You're bed is that one over there," he hastily motioned to one of the beds and went towards the door before glancing back at you. "Oh, and try not to get into any trouble, Newbie." And with that the ginger was gone again.

You sigh softly as the door shut and you were left alone in the room. You wondered if maybe the things against Lumin were merely rumors and people were just too frightened to find out if they were true or not. Deciding that would have to be your goal to figure out while you were at this Academy.

Humming, you go over to the desk where the pile of books were and began to flip through them. Seeing many things for potions, magical plants and a few other things that seemed interesting enough, though you didn't quite understand them. You carefully pick up the paper that consisted of your schedule, growing exited at the thought of your first class being 'Enchanted Creatures, dangers, care, and taming.' It certainly seemed quite interesting along with the others. Though, a part of you hoped you'd have classes with Orpheus so you at least knew someone. Reminding yourself to ask him about it later if you saw him at the ceremony tomorrow.

You sat the paper back down and began walking over to the wardrobe, pulling the doors open. You glanced over it, seeing a uniform identical to the one Cozbi had as well as the similar looking black robe and other clothes. You picked up a pair of pajamas to quickly change into since it had become increasingly late and you were practically exhausted.

Making sure the wardrobe was shut tight, you slipped into your pajamas. Soon beggining to walk back over to the massive bed as another smile formed on your lips as you did so. It certainly seemed even bigger with each step, and you couldn't seem to suppress the sort of childish urge to jump on it. You instantly twirled on your heel and fell backwards, flopping onto the bed with a soft plop. The bed seemed to form around you when you did so, as if beckoning you into its soft embrace. You soon sucumed to sleep as you looked forward to tomorrow.

The bright sunlight shined in through the skylight and the windows, falling upon your face as you groaned lightly from the sudden brightness. Pulling the covers over your face in a feeble attempt to shield yourself for a few more minutes. However, you slowly pried your eyes open when you heard loud talking and footsteps coming from outside your room.
