chapter 15: conclusion

Kenji pov

It's been years ever since. Close to 10 to be exact. If any of guys are wondering, me and Miku are married now and we are blessed with a pair of beautiful twins that consist of one girl and one boy. The boy name is Haru Shizuki and the girl's name is, well you guessed it right, it's Maya.

Today is our kid's 3rd birthday. Me and Miku is planning to surprise them with a party filled with their closest family members and tons of present. I called up the rest of the nakano sisters to babysit the kids and we went out.

It kinda feels like a date, just me and her. It's been so long since we're out alone since we have the kids, I guess I should savor every moment.

Miku: "Kenji Kun, do you think that we should have them share a big present or buy them individual present?" My wife asked me.

Kenji: "I think individual is better don't you think?" I said and she nodded happily.

We went inside a toy store and got 2 toy for each of them. We also went to the grocery store to buy ingredients for tonight feast. Nino will be cooking and I'll help around while Miku take care of the kids with her sisters.

After we both got everything we need, we exit the mall and make our way to the zebra crossing to go to our next destination, the cake shop. I can tell that Miku is eager for the party, I smile gently as I look at her. I put my stuff down since it's heavy and hurting my fingers but it doesn't seem so for miku. The traffic light starts blinking showing that it's gonna turn green soon, I kneel down to get my stuff.

Miku: "Kenji Kun, faster" she said as she run across the crowd and be the first one on the zebra crossing as soon as the traffic light stops blinking and turn green.

I smile again and pick up my stuff quickly.

Kenji: "I'm coming-" my eyes widen as I saw what happened.

Apparently, there was a car that was going at high and weren't able to stop in time. It had hit Miku hard, very hard. I drop all my stuff and ran to her.

Kenji: "MIKU!" I said as I kneel down and check up on her.

Her whole body is covered in blood and I can't even contain my tears anymore.

Kenji: "no no no, this isn't supposed to happen. Tell me, this is a dream right? Haru and Maya will be so sad, I'll be even sadder. Please don't leave, not again" I plead as I cry.

I can feel her weak hands make it's way to my cheeks.

Miku: "I didn't expect my last moment will come so soon, well then. In my last moment I want to see the love of my life smile, not cry" she said weakly

I forced a smile upon my face as tears rolled down. Miku smile, a bit.

Miku: "that's better. Tell our kids, I'll love them forever. Find a good mother for them, will you? I love you"

And that was it. That's her last word. I can't contain my sadness but there's nothing I can do. Like everyone else, I was late. I'm sorry everyone
