"Nothing? You found nothing?" Jingyan asked, surprised.
I nodded grimly, "The dock was completely untouched. Not a living soul has passed through there. If they have, they were powerful enough to not leave any traces behind that not even I could track them,"
Jingyan's gaze dropped back to her work with the footages, "This...this might mean that we're missing something very important. What can someone possibly be doing in that area for over two hours and not leave any trace?"
"Or, perhaps we're thinking to hard and Luocha really isn't a suspect," I shrugged, "I've had the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission work on this case to. Perhaps they can also find something. If we find anything, we'll immediately take action. The Realm-Keeping Commission need not worry,"
"A-are you sure? The General specifically entrusted this to us," Jingyan said.
I nodded quickly, "I was the one who told Jing Yuan to tell you guys. Plus, the Astral Expressers are still conducting their investigation aren't they? Perhaps they'll turn up with something. If that's everything, I'm taking a break,"
I gave her a strained smile before rushing out of the Commission. It's not that I didn't have any trust in the Realm-Keeping Commission's ability to seek out a suspect. It's just that they have no idea why he's a suspect. They were just told that he is suspicious.
I gave a nod of respect to the Cloud Knight guarding the Seat of Divine Foresight's entrance before heading in. Considering how it was already evening, I guess it made sense why the place was so empty.
Jing Yuan and the Master Diviner, Seer Fu Xuan were deep in a heated conversation. More like, Fu Xuan was pissed while Jing Yuan was merely silently enjoying the drama.
I was about to turn on my heel and head back out to avoid more talking when Fu Xuan's voice pulled be back.
"Aeons! Miss Xuanyi! Thank goodness you're here," Fu Xuan breathed a sigh of relief.
"No, no. I'm just about to go...you two have your fun," I nodded trying to leave for the door again. Arguing with Fu Xuan can cost me a week's worth of energy.
"It's fated that you've arrived in the Seat of Divine Foresight. We need your opinion on this matter," Fu Xuan demanded.
Originally, I was planning to come here and rest, perhaps even annoy the General too. I didn't think I'd run into Fu Xuan...
"Right...what matter is it between the General and the Master Diviner that I can possible help with?" I forced a smile as I walked back over, catching Jing Yuan watching me in amusement.
"The past few days which I have assumed the roll of Acting General, my effort has been met with positive feedback. I presume that is more than sufficient reason to let me handle affairs further than the Divination Commission!" Fu Xuan vented, her hands on her hips, "However, General Jing Yuan refused it again!"
"I merely said that the matters of the Luofu right now are not suited for you," Jing Yuan sighed.
I looked between the two before laughing awkwardly, "Right. That doesn't seem like something I should be joining in on. I'll get going,"
"No! I mean, wait, Miss Xuanyi. Your opinion on this matter is vital," Fu Xuan demanded.
I let out a short sigh before folding my arms across my chest and turning around, "Do you really want me honest, truthful opinion. Promise you won't get angry?"
The short master diviner nodded quickly.
"Fine. Fu Xuan, I agree that you are quite competent in handling the affairs of the Luofu even though I wasn't here personally to experience it. However, if by current dealings you mean the stellaron, I'm afraid I'll have to disagree on that. The stellaron is no playing matter. But either way, you can rest easy on that matter for now. I've put my people to work on it for the time being," I nodded, rather proud of my response. I feel like I just dodged a bomb.
