"1900, Louisiana.
The Wild West is drowning in bourbon, saloon music and broken promises.
Marina Łupków, a legendary bounty hunter, returns from the powder fields of China carrying more scars than dreams.
She wants...
After the end of World War II, the world plunged into a new era of tension.
No longer against Nazis or expansionist emperors, the battlefield was now ideological, and the war was being fought in the cold shadows between Washington and Moscow.
Korea, a peninsula that had been under Japanese rule for decades, was liberated in August 1945 by two distinct forces: the Soviets occupied the north of the 38th parallel, while the Americans took control of the south.
It was supposed to be temporary.
It wasn't.
In 1948, two governments emerged: in the north, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, supported by the USSR and led by Kim Il-sung; in the south, the Republic of Korea, under the American umbrella.
Both claimed to be legitimate.
Neither recognized the other.
Tensions boiled over on June 25, 1950, when the North Koreans crossed the 38th parallel with Soviet armor and Chinese logistical support, launching an all-out invasion.
The South was taken by surprise.
Within days, the communists had nearly taken over the entire peninsula.
It was the beginning of the first war of the Cold War.

It was in this incandescent setting that Marina Petrov received the call, once again.
In San Francisco, meeting with the veterans of the Valhalla group, Marina, now nationally famous, shook hands with her soldiers.
Anna, at her side, let out a rare smile.
The old sparkle in her eyes was back.
- Ready for another ride through hell? - Marina asked with a cigarette between her lips.
- If you’re behind the wheel, Captain, then the Devil better buckle up. - William replied, laughing.
They boarded a military ship bound for Busan, South Korea.
They arrived in May 1950, when the situation was already desperate.
The North Koreans advanced brutally, throwing heavy armored vehicles against a disorganized southern resistance.
The UN intervened, led by the United States.
Marina and her men were sent straight to the front lines.
Battle of Busan - August 1950
On high ground shrouded in fog and smoke, Marina watched the enemy line through the scope of her sniper rifle.
The hill was fortified with sandbags and machine-gun nests.
The North Koreans advanced in waves, young, determined, armed with fury and rifles.
