"Withdraw from Kuwait or face a coalotion ready and weeling to employ all means necessary..."

Fall 1990 – Washington, D.C.

The November sky seemed grayer than usual.

The streets of Georgetown were quiet, and the newspapers talked about Saddam Hussein as if his name were a storm about to cross the ocean.

—With all due respect, sir- said Marina, placing both hands on the table - why us?

— Because the enemy ain’t just fightin’ with tanks...he’s hidin’ missiles in hospitals, booby‑trappin’ the desert and playin’ information like chess, you know how to operate under that kinda pressure... why soldiers still tell Hanoi stories like legend.
