Chapter 2: The Capture

Day after day the two Humanimals would get together by a little pond far enough away were nobody could see or hear them. They got to know each other very well too, how Jamie's father died, how Kai is most vegetarian, how they both like black berries the best and how both their favorite flower was a lily and their favorite plant a Venus fly trap.
They both loved each other's company and soon the two wanted more than friendship but never said anything. They continued to be best friends and they never got caught. When one didn't show up they just assumed they couldn't hang out that day because they couldn't ask around the others village. They kept hidden for years and years.
By Jamie's fourteenth birthday they both were extremely well built. The both had muscles that were clearly seen, and their ears tails and legs grew more fur. Humanimals usually start out with human legs that grow into their animals legs later. Jamie grew out her brown hair to the floor almost and her brown eyes had a faint hint of green in them just like her father.
Kai had very messy hair which he only cut to keep from getting in his eyes. He could lift up a cow and his eyes got darker almost black in color, as did his tail. They both grew to be very strong and brave hearted in many ways.
One day they traveled farther into the forest to discover something deviating, the humans were coming. The two hid from these mad looking hairless creature to see what they were doing.
These people all had on the same white jacket and goggles over their eyes, they looked as if they were trying to find something. They were going around some trees with some different devices that had strange lights on top. One of them pointed their machine at Jamie and Kai and their hearts stopped.
"Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, GUYS I HAVE ONE ON THE RADAR OVER HERE!" The man shouted pointing directly at Kai and Jamie. They got up and started to run but these mad men had more machines with which they rode in that went faster then the two Humanimals.
"Come here you mutts" one said evilly "science needs to have a crack at you guys" he said shooting something at Jamie.
She fell onto her knees and Kai went back and picked her up and started running with her. He was almost to the village when they shot again. Kai yelped then blacked out, not knowing what they were going to do to them.
