WALTER AND KIYOKO approached the gymnasium gates, their smiles warm and welcoming.
They paused as they saw Hinata and Kageyama blocking the path, their conversation a blur of unintelligible sounds.
"Excuse me," Kiyoko said, her voice gentle yet firm.
Hinata and Kageyama, realizing they were blocking the way, quickly apologized and stepped aside. But before they could move, Walter addressed them, his voice calm and steady.
"Ah, it's Kageyama-kun," Walter said, a knowing smile spreading across his face. "I haven't seen you in a while."
Kiyoko, her brow furrowed with curiosity, turned to Walter. "Do you know this person?"
"We met at the junior high school volleyball tournament in Miyagi prefecture," Walter explained, his eyes sparkling with a hint of amusement. "Kageyama was a powerful opponent. I remember the match vividly."
Kageyama, his face flushed with anger, clenched his fists. "Don’t say I was a powerful opponent. It’s ridiculous!” he shouted, his voice sharp with frustration.
Hinata, sensing the tension, took a step back, his eyes wide with uncertainty.
Kageyama, however, seemed lost in thought for a moment, as if recalling a past memory. Then, he met Walter’s gaze, his voice filled with defiance. "You didn’t use your full strength that day, did you? You were the MVP of the championship match."
Walter remained calm, his smile gentle and unyielding. “I didn’t notice you were holding back, Kageyama-kun. But watching your other games made me think about how different you were back then.”
Kageyama’s eyes narrowed with anger and frustration, his teeth clenched. “I’m not the same person as I was back then.”
Walter, grabbing Kiyoko’s hand, led the way towards the gym, but Kageyama, unable to let the matter drop, called out again.
“I will definitely take revenge on you,” he vowed, his voice laced with a menacing tone.
Walter, his smile unwavering, met Kageyama’s challenge head-on. “I’m looking forward to your revenge, Kageyama-kun.”
Kageyama, his face grim, growled, “Yes.”
The door to the Karasuno training ground swung open, revealing the team in the midst of their practice session. Kiyoko Shimizu, the only female manager of the team, stood beside Walter.
“Wow, Shimizu is still as beautiful as ever,” Tanaka commented, a beaming smile on his face.
Curious eyes turned towards Walter, their gazes filled with a mix of intrigue and curiosity. Some whispered amongst themselves, wondering who this new male companion of Kiyoko was.
"Is he a newcomer?"
"Is he joining our volleyball club?"
Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka approached Walter and Kiyoko, their faces filled with interest.
“Which one of you is the new member?” Daichi asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
