AS THEY HEADED HOME, Walter was holding a conversation with Kiyoko. He eventually asked Kiyoko about the progress of her efforts to find a successor to their manager, wondering how the search had turned out.

"Are you able to make any progress regarding the quest for the replacement of the manager that you had spoken with me previously?"

Kiyoko expressed her frustration at the difficulty in finding a suitable substitute, claiming that all he had found thus far were "a little bit bad."

"Hmm...it was a little bad. "

Kiyoko expressed her displeasure, furrowing her brows slightly and brushing the hair out of her own forehead.

"I am currently planning to search for some students in the first years who have not yet joined any clubs and inquire as to whether they are interested in joining the volleyball department."

Kiyoko shared her plans to enlist the help of first-year students who haven't engaged in activities yet and ask them whether they would be interested in joining the volleyball committee.

"Then, when you go once more on a different day, please contact me as well!"

Kiyoko surprised reaction at this suggestion prompted by Walter to invite him along as well.

"Eh? Won't you need to partake in training?"

Kiyoko approached him of them and took Walter hand, turning his attention toward her and asking whether she had anything planned for later that day.

"You can still come to me throughout the break period. There is still room to participate in training after school. And I am able to commence at a later hour."

Kiyoko was hesitant to impose on Walter's time, but he insisted that it was fine and he was willing to make the sacrifice.

"You don't need to sacrifice your time."

She responded with an unusual mosquito-like cry, which confused Walter slightly.

"My personal time? Kiyoko-san, to be honest, you should know me better regarding this."

"Hmm,"

He told her that she should know him better, and her head remained lowered. She rested her head on his shoulder and simply leaned against him for support.

"You should already be well aware that if a certain task does not interest me, I would normally be unwilling to apply pressure upon myself."

Walter pointed out that if something was unpleasant to him, he wouldn't do it even if there was an opportunity to do so.

"The way in which I spend my own time involving activities that are not incumbent upon me will not be determined purely by my personal preferences."

Walter confirmed this notion, stating that whatever he chose to do with his own time was based solely on his preferences.

Kiyoko had no further objections to the statement and simply tightened her hold on his hand.

The two of them gradually became more indistinct as they passed under the street light in the growing darkness of the night.

AS THE FINAL EXAMINATION draws near Tanaka and Nishinoya, both second-year students are busy revising for the final examination.

During their lunch break in noon, Hinata and Kageyama would consistently attend Walter study sessions to prepare for the examination.

At the end of the day's club activities, Walter and Kiyoko frequently go home together. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi have formed a collaboration to assist the two students.
