"There are only two ways." Maeve spoke through the phone, causing Aryia to sigh.
"Only two? Damn it." Aryia replied, giving a tight smile to a nurse who walked past.
"One, let her possess you. Two, do the ritual I taught you. I suggest the second one."
"I already tried once. It didn't work and now Luka- Vann's brother is going to die all because I didn't make a simple sacrifice."
"Hey, don't blame this on you. And it isn't just your sacrifice. If you go through with this you and many more will die. After Winnie fulfills the sacrifices, she'll kill you too."
"Okay. I'll try one more time." A sharp pain in Aryia's stomach caused her to grit her teeth. "Uh, I have a question."
"Sure, go ahead."
"Have you ever had a vision and Winnie cut you in the vision but it turned out to be in real life too?"
"Once. But it wasn't from Winnie. It was from an attachment someone brought in. Why? Has she been doing it to you?"
"Yeah...she cut 'give me your body' in my stomach."
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. But that's not what I want to worry about. I'm worrying about Luka. I'm in the hospital right now and he's passed out and can't breathe well. I can't help but think it's Winnie. She threatened me that if I didn't let her possess me, she'd kill him."
"What." A voice sounded, but Aryia quickly realized it wasn't from her phone.
Standing behind her, Mr. And Mrs. Hennigan stood with their eyes wide. Aryia froze, her jaw clenching.
"Aryia?"
"Oh sh- no." Aryia mumbled. "Uh, Maeve hold on a minute."
"Who's Winnie?" Mr. Hennigan asked, his face going through many emotions at once.
"I have a lot to explain don't I."
Aryia walked into the room, both parents following close behind her. Everyone looked up at her as she entered. She felt like she screwed up. Well, she had to tell them at some point. Now all that was left was to tell her own parents. Which, Aryia felt, wouldn't go very well.
So she began to explain everything that was going on. From the very start to the very finish. She left out a few things that weren't very important or flat out illegal.
"So it's a...ghost's fault Luka is in this state?" Mrs. Hennigan repeated what Aryia had just explained.
"Yes...unfortunately. This ghost's power is above all of ours and she's trying to get into my body and take me over. I'm preventing that from happening, which means she's threatening to kill Luka if I don't."
