Vann was nervous.
He stood there beside Millie and Maverick who were looking around at the house with their heads on a swivel. Nobody seemed as nervous as he was about what Aryia was doing.
She was opening her mind fully. She opened her mind so she could save Charlotte. But that also meant that Winnie could come fully into her mind as well. That scared Vann, knowing what Winnie wanted.
Hopefully she knew what she was doing.
It took about ten minutes for Aryia to finally open her eyes again. She stood up and turned around with a smile.
"I saved her." Aryia smiled, taking off her backpack.
"You did? Was she happy?" Millie asked mirroring Aryia's wide smile.
"She was."
Vann stared at her. Something was off. When Aryia looked to him, her smile faltered for a moment. Something in her eyes wasn't...Aryia. That smile wasn't Aryia. Her movements weren't Aryia. Something was wrong.
Aryia paused for a second, looking around. "I think Winnie is gone. I don't feel her anymore. I think...she left with Charlotte."
Vann let out a dry laugh. "No. No she didn't."
Vann walked over toward Aryia, roughly grabbing her shoulders. He could tell, for a split second, a ghost of a smirk on her face. Vann roughly shook Aryia, anger in his eyes.
"Yo dude! Why are you shaking her like that?" Maverick asked from behind, concern laced in his tone.
"Let her go." Vann angrily spoke, shoving Aryia away from him. "Let her go!"
"Vann!" Maverick screamed, grabbing his arm, yanking him away from Aryia. "Dude what the hell is wrong with you?"
"That isn't Aryia." Vann said, shoving Maverick away from him. "Look at her. That isn't Aryia."
'Aryia' just stood there. She had a blank look on her face, staring down at her hands. When she heard what Vann said, she slowly looked up. Her eyes weren't green anymore. They were a dark black color, covering her whole entire eyeball. Her face was a deathly pale. Maverick clenched his jaw.
"It feels..." 'Aryia' inhaled deeply, rolling her neck. "Better than I imagined."
"Get the fuck out of Aryia." Vann spat, roughly grabbing her shoulders again.
"Hm. Let me think about that for a second." 'Aryia' looked up at the sky, a grin that certainly wasn't the one Vann loved spreading across her face. "NO!"
A loud cackle echoed throughout the mansion. Millie's scream echoed right after as she flew from the floor up onto the wall, an invisible force holding her there. 'Aryia' held up her hand toward Millie as if it were her holding it there.
