I devoted the whole week to work. From Monday to Friday I ran from photoshoot to photoshoot, regardless of my needs. I slept three hours a day. Not because I had so much work, but because I couldn't sleep properly due to stress. I was thinking more and more about accepting Vivienne's offer, but it meant that I would have to go to London for some time, and that didn't convince me. Especially since I wouldn't have a place to live there. I wanted to stay in Monaco at all costs.

– Ah! – another moan from this stupid blonde bitch.

I had no idea what this girl's name was, but she reminded me of her existence every night for the past few days. She was staying with Lando, I knew he even got her a special paddock pass for the Monaco Grand Prix. Everything was told to me by Sav, who, together with Oliver, stayed in their apartment due to her advanced pregnancy and gave me their paddock passes. Thanks to this, I planned to surprise Amelie and take her to qualifying and the Formula 1 race.

–Lan! – another loud chuckle.

I wanted to tear those blonde locks out of her head. Lando must have been in a good mood for training, which went quite well. Apparently he wanted to chill out before qualifying.

– Oh yes! – another moan.

I put a pillow to my face and screamed loudly. I wanted to go there and tell them to shut the fuck up, but I didn't want to seem like a mean neighbor. But how long can you listen to this sounds? When I heard something louder again, I growled under my breath and got out of bed with a bang. I straightened the sweatshirt I was wearing and headed out. I didn't even close the door, I just moved upstairs, marching to Norris's door. The closer I got, the better I could hear the blonde's laughter. I didn't hesitate in front of his door and knocked on it with all my strength. There was silence on the other side, and after a while I heard footsteps. The door opened and Norris appeared, wearing only black boxers.

– What do you want at such an hour? – he asked, frowning. He looked me up and down and smiled to himself. Before I could answer, he added suddenly. – Don't say you miss me. It's cute – he laughed quietly.

I looked at him, frowning, and he rolled his eyes and pointed at the sweatshirt I was wearing. It was his sweatshirt. I closed my eyes. Oh how I wanted to run away from there. I stood in front of him in his fucking sweatshirt and panties. Thank God this sweatshirt was long enough to cover my butt.

– Can your little friend just shut the fuck up? Some people work with their heads, not with their vagina, and I would really like to finally sleep without hearing her eternal moans – I sighed, running my hand over my face. I was fed up with everything. And I really didn't care whether the blonde heard it.

– Okay, we'll be quiet – he said seriously after a moment of observing my face. He probably noticed my tiredness.

– Thanks – I smiled artificially and was about to turn around and go back to the apartment when suddenly a smiling blonde, dressed only in a white McLaren T-shirt, jumped out from behind Lando. Oh. Her beautiful, long curls were messy, and her big blue eyes watched me with joy.

– I'm Magui – the girl said, standing in front of a surprised Norris, who was watching the whole situation with his mouth wide open.

It got awkward. I was about to say I don't give a fuck, but I wasn't that mean.

– Melanie – I replied, not taking my eyes off Norris's green eyes, which pierced through my face.

– Oh! Are you a fan of Quadrant? You probably know who Max Fewtrell is? – she asked cheerfully and I nodded. Suddenly, my and Norris's eyes fell on Magui. – Max is coming to Monaco with Pietra tomorrow morning! – she announced with a broad smile. How much could she smile?

If only she knew how much I disliked Max. As a kid, Max was extremely jealous of Lando. They went karting together and spent a lot of time together, but when Lando came home, he wasn't interested in Max because it was me and Oli. His best friends. One time Max visited Lando while I was also staying with him. Fewtrell started a huge fight just because Norris agreed to watch the movie I chose over his. That's how we argued every time we saw each other, which wasn't very often. Over time, we didn't see each other at all, or only for important events at the Norris family. That's why I haven't seen Fewtrell in over two years. And I had a great time with it because he was always mean to me.

– Oh, great – I muttered, looking at
Lando, who was clearly trying to hide his laughter.

Fucking dickhead.

– I'll go now – I muttered a moment later, and Norris nodded. Magui waved to me cheerfully, Lando said a quiet goodnight and I disappeared.

I almost ran to my apartment. I wanted to bury myself in the bed with shame. I growled under my breath when I received several messages.

Ams

Please remember to pick me up from airport in the morning
I can't imagine ordering a damn expensive taxi from Nice to Monaco
Ps. my parents temporarily cut me off from the cash:3

I snorted under my breath at the messages Amelie sent me. This was typical of her family. Her father and mother were both respected lawyers and earned a lot of money. Amelie always had everything she dreamed of. Holidays in the Maldives? Sure, dad will pay. A new Chanel handbag? Mother will buy two so that her little sister can have the same one. Her parents spoiled her at every step, but only when she did what they wanted. That's why she studied law at the best university in London. She told everyone that this was what she dreamed of, but I knew better. Law wasn't something that interested her. And Marcus? Her parents adored him. They exalted him like some kind of God because he came from a good family and studied medicine at the same university. In their opinion, Amelie and Marcus were made for each other, so every time the couple argued, her parents cut her off from money so that she would change her mind and take him back. And she changed her mind every fucking time.

After a while, I received another message, but from someone else.

Lando Norizz

Is there something between you and Leclerc?

I frowned. There was silence in the apartment. No sounds from above. No laughter, no conversation. I thought Magui came out, which was quite a surprise.

Lando Norizz

Charles is with Alexandra
We are friends

Friends like us?

I stared at this message for a good fifteen minutes and had no idea how to react to it. Charles and I had been spending evenings together in Monaco since I invited him the first night. Nothing happened between us once, apart from stupid hugs or kisses on the cheek. We were both in control of the situation, even though it was damn hard. What was I supposed to say to him? Me and Charles spent the night together in Imola, so that meant our relationship was similar to mine and Lando's. It was similar, but not the same. I felt something different with Lando. I felt at home. With Charles I felt something new, an adventure and nothing more. And that scared me. I was lost in it all.

I didn't reply to this message. I fell asleep with my phone in my hand and his text in my mind.
