PUNKFLOWER WEEK: DAY THREE
my idea!

3rd person POV

Miles was often with Hobie when he wrote songs.

Hobie would practice singing them to or in front of Miles. He had come to know the boy loved whatever song he played.

And Hobie wrote all kinds of songs.

Though most often, songs about how shitty the government is were what he wrote.

And Miles did not blame him. He'd been around Hobies universe enough times to know anybody with a brain didn't like the system.

But Hobie wanted to empower the people and make a difference. So his songs had meaning and influence, the point was to encourage the people to try.

Miles loved that. Miles loved Hobie, and what he believed in.

But Miles hadn't really been to a concert yet. Hobie preformed pretty often, and never made anybody pay to get in. Because that wasn't the point.

Hobie wanted Miles to come.

Yeah, the police could bust in. Something could happen, Spider-Man was rarely lucky. But Hobie was confident Miles could go to one of his bigger shows once.

To at least try it.

"I'm gonna get out of here, I have a show I need to get to soon," Hobie said.

He'd been hanging out with Miles for a while, the two having gone out swinging and then gotten some fast food to munch on back home.

"Oh, okay. Pretty you mentioned that when you got here, so don't be late to it."

"..Was thinkin' maybe you could tag along this time? I- I mean unless ya have something goin' on of course," Hobie offered, not trying to force Miles into anything.

"Oh, wait really?"

Hobie nodded, looking at Miles to see excitement written all over his face.

"I've wanted to go to one for a long time," Miles laughed, giving Hobie a cheesy smile.

"Why didn' ya say so?" Hobie asked, beginning to have an idea.

"Just didn't want to be a bother," Miles replied, glancing at Hobie. "..what in the world are you doing?"

Hobie was going through his closet, tossing a few pieces of clothing onto Miles' bed.

Some stuff Miles didn't wear too often, some things he'd forgotten he had.

"You look out of place 'cause of the differen' universe thing, but you can match the concert a tad if ya wear the style," Hobie explained, tossing some fishnet gloves Miles probably hadn't worn in years onto his covers.

"Alright," Miles breathed, wondering how Hobie planned on dressing him punk.

He had a lot more clothes than he previously thought though.

Hobie started sorting it out.

"Will you be late?"

"Nah, I usually get there a bit early anyway. But dressin' your part is a bit more important, innit?"

Miles shrugged, Hobie gesturing him to come over.

"You make this?" he asked, holding onto a painted tank top.

"Uhm, yeah, a while ago," Miles answered.

He'd designed a white tank top with bright sunflowers, surrounded by black stars and other small details.

"Perfect."

He grabbed some ripped jeans, those fishnet gloves, and turned to ask Miles if he had any shoes that might work.

"..I might have converse?"

Hobie smiled tapping the pile of clothing he'd put together for Miles.

"Okay. Wanna give this a go?" Hobie questioned.

"Sure," Miles accepted, laying out the things to put on.

Hobie stepped out of the room as Miles got dressed.

The younger boy called Hobie back in when he was done.

And God, if Hobie wasn't in love already, he one hundred percent was now.

"Y'look pretty," Hobie said after a few seconds, still standing in the doorway.

"T-thanks," Miles smiled brightly, not expecting the sudden compliment.

Hobie had one more thing to add.

He shrugged off his vest, handing it to Miles.

"Wait, isn't this like, your favorite one?" Miles hesitated.

"Probably, but hurry up. My band'll kill me if I'm late," Hobie joked, opening a portal.

Miles shrugged on the vest, following Hobie into earth 138B.

"There you are Hobie! Hurry it up, we planned on starting like, now!" one of Hobies band mates said loudly, Hobie shouting a 'sorry!'

He looked over at Miles, gesturing him to slip into the crowd if he wanted.

So Miles did.

The crowd was full of flashing colors.

And only a few minutes later, when the first few notes started, the people were loud.

Fangirls who were probably there for Hobie only screamed obnoxiously.

Other cheered in excitement.

Miles saw the lights turn on and the real music start, knowing damn well that was his boyfriend up there. And that was fucking awesome.

Hobies eyes searched the crowd, before landing on Miles and winking.

Miles might burn up, oh lord. He smiled back at Hobie, seeing a few people who'd noticed the gesture look at him.

The lights were flashy and the sound was loud, and the audience was screaming the lyrics and cheering like Miles had never heard.

He hasn't exactly been to many concerts, but that wasn't the point.

Miles was watching Hobie like the older boy was some sort of angel at this point.

But the light flashing as Hobie shined a bright pink and yellow, contrasting colors now and the , shadows being cast by the older boys wicks.. the boots and the outfit and just everything in this moment made Miles love him even more.

And Miles had to admit he felt a little special wearing his pretty much famous boyfriends vest in a giant crowd, watching the talented Hobie perform and look at him.

Time was going by fast. It didn't take long for Miles to be shouting lyrics he knew. He knew them not because of Hobies past concerts, he knew them because Hobie had played for him before.

When the concert was dying down and the last song was coming to a close, Miles knew his eyes had basically never left Hobie the whole time.

People were slowly making their way out over the next few minutes, and Miles took that as his signal to slip backstage.

"Ay hun," Hobie greeted when he turned and saw the boy walking toward him.

"Hi love," Miles answered, smile wide.

"Y'like the-"

"I loved it," Miles cut him off. And hell he did! That was fucking awesome, and nothing Miles could do would express how much he thought that.

"Thanks, flower," Hobie beamed. His band members from the side just stared at him, and watched him pull Miles in for a kiss.
