Takeyasu: Mom, dad? Can we go get some food?
Shoko: Yes! Come on, Ryuji.
Ryuji: Oh, sorry son. We have that deal to make with the Akatsukis.
Takeyasu: But I'm hungry. And I want tempura.
Shoko: You can go with our servant Tanaka.
Tanaka: Yes, Mr and Mrs. Tatsukami?
Shoko: Could you go with Takeyasu to get some of our food?
Tanaka: Yes sir and madam.
Ryuji: Bye kid!

As the servant and the boy get food, they hear rumors of a demon with ice powers and weird hair killing women.
Civilian: Have you heard? The Hikohitos matriarch was murdered.
Civilian 2: That's the 5th woman that demon murdered.
Takeyasu: What's a demon, Tanaka?
Tanaka: It's a monster that Demon Slayers are hired to kill and they want to do nothing more than eat humans. There are 12 infamous ones called the Twelve Kizuki.
Takeyasu: Wow. That is.....so boring! Where's the tempura?
Tanaka: Here you go, young master.
Takeyasu begins to greedily gobble his tempura as the servant chuckled at his ways. Once the food for the parents was ready and so was more tempura for Takeyasu, then go home but little did they know, they encountered a demon who was feasting on Shoko and Ryuji, shocking the boy and Tanaka.

Takeyasu sees his parents dead bodies and the areas stained in blood, but is signaled by his servant.
Tanaka: Run, Takeyasu.
The boy nods and runs off as the demon talks to Tanaka.
