(Takeyasu was once 13 and he is now 15 and him and Kanae are the same age. Rengoku is 16, Gyomei is 20. And just so you know, this Act is Tatsukami focused. Sumire and the others will show up later.)
As Kanae walked back to her futon, she get pacing forward and backward and wondering what she did.
Kanae: (Why'd I do that? He was so sweet, so gentlemanly, and I kissed him? Am I falling for him? What would Shinobu say?)
She then is told by Rengoku to go to sleep soon and not walk too much and attract Demons to their location. Soon, she walks up to Takeyasu and speaks to him.
Takeyasu: Hi Kanae.
Kanae: About what happened, could you not tell anyone, please?
Takeyasu: Sure. But, I have one thing to say. And you have to promise not to tell anyone. This is probably my most dangerous mission and I want to say something. I didn't know a lot of people before I came here and many people treated me with pity or contempt. But not you. You're the only non family member who treated me with like a normal person and with kindness. And because of that, I've grown to like you more than just a friend. I guess what I'm trying to say is.......I love you. I've always have.
Kanae was red as a beet and Takeyasu was embarrassed, but he decided to go keep going through.
Takeyasu: Will you be my lover?
Takeyasu braced for rejection, but was pleasantly surprised at her reaction.
Kanae: Yes! Yes I will!
She then hugs her now lover and he smiles and hugs her back.
Takeyasu: You helped give me a reason to live. You treated me like a normal person instead of a charity case. I couldn't just bury my feelings when you've been nothing but nice to me. But I think we should go to bed. And I should get some rest.
They then go to the futons and sleep, with Takeyasu excited of what his life will become, but remembers Shinobu.
Takeyasu: What will we tell Shinobu?
Kanae: She'll be a bit shocked, but she'll accept it. Don't worry. Good night, my love.
Takeyasu: Good night, my butterfly.

The hashira walked forward to Mist City and Kanae still helped him walk around a bit. Soon, the hashira and Tsuguko arrived at the hidden city shrouded in mist.

Takeyasu: I guess it takes one to know one.

She blushed heavily once Tatsu indirectly called her beautiful, and giggled a bit, while Rengoku was able to tell everything, but kept quiet.
