It had been a fun day for Aaira

It had been a fun day for Aaira. She stood in a boutique while the owner's assistant took her measurements. The assistant was carefully noting down the details for a gown, a special one for the grand ball her family was hosting in New York. Aaira felt a thrill of excitement as she imagined the event. The ball would include many rich businessmen, including her Jimin. She was excited, knowing that she would finally be able to introduce him to her father. She had never mentioned Jimin to her father before, but she hoped her father would support their decision, as he always had. Yet, she couldn't help but wonder how her father would react upon meeting Jimin.

Aaira had plans to propose to Jimin in front of everyone attending the ball. She wanted their relationship to be known to all. However, she still needed to discuss the ball with Jimin—not her proposal, but just the event itself. She wanted him to attend the ball with her, and she was confident he would.

As the designer finished taking her measurements, Aaira continued to stand in front of the mirror, watching her reflection with a sense of confusion. Something felt off. She couldn't feel the happiness she expected. Her smiles faded instantly, leaving her to question why she had to force them in the first place. It had been a while since she felt truly happy.

Lately, she sensed that Jimin had something on his mind, something he couldn't share with her like he used to. He seemed to be hiding something, distancing himself from her. He often forgot to smile around her, and it wasn't the first time she noticed this change. It had become a regular occurrence, making her suspect that something was wrong.

Despite her attempts to understand what was bothering him, the situation remained unchanged. She wondered if he feared she would leave him, or if he thought she was just passing time with him. His lack of trust hurt her. He always insisted there was nothing she needed to know, yet his behavior made things obvious at times, and utterly confusing at others.

She often observed him sitting quietly, zoning out, laughing during phone calls, or becoming too frustrated to respond. If it was work-related, why didn't he share it with her? Did he no longer believe in her?

Suddenly, the designer gently touched her arm.

Designer: "Ma'am!"

The designer called.

Aaira looked at her with a bit of confusion.

Designer: "Are you listening?"

The designer asked.

Aaira: "Yeah,"

Aaira replied.

The assistant began showing her pieces of fabric.

Assistant: "What color would you like your gown to be?"

The assistant inquired.

Aaira: "Dark red, like rich blood,"
