As Aaira opened the letter, she saw the same red ink—or perhaps blood—streaking across the paper. Her hands trembled slightly as her eyes scanned the familiar, menacing handwriting.

Hi honey,

You must be thinking about me before receiving this, or I can say just picturing my face. Hope you're doing great since we last met, and I hope you had a great night in the arms of your lover. It’s good to hear about you leaving this crowded world and going off somewhere alone with your beloved so-called boss.

Don’t worry—I’ll be there for you, to protect you from all the evils. But wait… is there really any other dangerous creature alive for you, other than me? Nahhh…

You must be thinking I’m in a good mood, but you’re wrong. I’m writing this to you so that you can follow my instructions.

You will go on this trip, but you’ll keep your distance from your boss. If he tries to get close to you, you’ve got to push him away. I trust you know the consequences if you don’t.

Gotta go. Love you.

Yours,
Stalker.

Aaira’s face remained blank as she stared at the letter in her hand. She had expected it—another sick message from her stalker. Without a second thought, she tossed it into her suitcase, not bothering to read it again. She shut the suitcase with a dull thud, trying to push the weight of the situation out of her mind.

Jungkook walked into the room, glancing at his watch.

Jungkook: "Let’s go, we’re getting late,"

He said, urgency in his voice.

Aaira picked up her iPad, her expression still distant.

Aaira: “We’ll reach there at 12 in the afternoon. Then it’ll take about 40 minutes to get to the hotel. If we hit any traffic, we’ll only have 30 or 40 minutes to check in and freshen up before the meeting. It’ll take us 30 minutes to reach the meeting spot, and it’s scheduled for 2 p.m. sharp. We need to hurry.”

Jungkook nodded, grabbing his bag.

Jungkook: “First, we need to check out from this hotel and head to the airport.”

Aaira glanced at the leftover bags and suitcases piled near the corner of the room, realizing they weren’t suitable to take on the business trip. Before she could voice her concern, Jungkook spoke up.

Jungkook: “Don’t worry, every suitcase will be sent to my house. My family members will take care of them. Just take the important bags with you.”

Relieved, Aaira nodded and grabbed the essentials. With everything in hand, they both stepped out of the room. Jungkook handed his room card to Taehyung, who was waiting outside.
