the last moments were a blur, as i heard rummaging coming from my bathroom. intruder had appeared, as the sound of water falling filled the hallway leading to my bedroom.

"hey love, i put the shower on for you," he walked over to my bed, seeing the sloth-like state i was in. he cocked his head round, before smiling to himself like an idiot.

he slowly pulled me up into a sitting position, sliding me off the bed and then carrying me to the bathroom in bridal style. he then stood me up and walked out, gesturing to the shower.

"i'm making breakfast, take your time, doll." he gave his signature wink, closing the bathroom door behind him.. i faced my bathroom mirror, staring at the drained face infront of me. "gosh," i whispered to myself, taking off my underwear and hopping inside the shower.

after my shower, i found some comfy clothes and changed into them. i then slowly walked downstairs, only to be greeted with a sight which i wish i could erase from my memory.

liutenant thatcher davis and officer ruth weaver stood in my livingroom, guns pointed towards intruder. ruth caught sight of me, removing one hand away from her gun and signalling me to move away.

"y/n, we've found him. you're safe, please leave and go back to the police station." ruth's soft eyes fell onto mine, as i stared back in disgust. my eyebrows knitted, and i felt my heartbeat pick up it's pace.

"no!" i yell out, running down my stairs towards the two police officers. i stood infront of intruder, my arms spread out like wings - blocking them from getting to intruder.

"l/n, what on earth are you doing?" the liutenant shakes his gun slightly, "move. away. from. him." his distilled words left me with no choice but to begin to cry.

"please! you can't-" i begged, "you have the wrong person," yet intruder cut me off and put his hands up. he slowly pulled down his hood, revealing the face that the police department had been searching for.

ruth pulled me over to a side, as thatcher made his way to intruder and pushed him onto the ground. he grabbed intruders wrists and stuffed them into shiny metal handcuffs, before reading out his rights and taking intruder outside.

tears pricked my eyes, as i sobbed, chasing after my boyfriend and the liutenant that arrested him. ruth held me back, restraining me with her arms. she was close to putting me in a headlock, yet refrained upon seeing me calmer.

"y/n," her soft voice fluttered through my ears, "please calm yourself down. get some good sleep, and tommorow i'll ring you up for interrogation." she slowly moved away from me, not making eye-contact.

she backed away, before giving a sigh full of despair. ruth then left my home, closing my front door behind her. the next thing i heard was the sound of a car door closing, the starting of an engine and the blare of a police siren.

the officers left my drive, speeding down the road and back up to the police station.
