Chapter 20 /II/ Part 1

Being electrocuted wasn't the first thing you expected when you were about to press that 'Escape' button.

Damn that Naegi. He is way too lucky.

As a result, you passed out (definitely) for nearly two hours. Half an hour to prepare yourself is all the generosity Monokuma has for you after you regained consciousness.

Many things stuffed into your head in one time and you feel a bit dizzy. But still, the last class trial has to go on to end your endless struggle against despair with your 'friends'. You walk, or stagger to be exact, to the red door. Asahina was staying with you when you passed out, but you told her to leave you alone for a while after you were awake. Strangely enough, she just nodded and leave. Actually you expect her to be more worried about you, but she looks all gloomy.

Did something happen?

"Sorry for the wait," you said to the remaining survivor who have been waiting, Naegi, Kirigiri, Togami, Fukawa, Hagakure, Asahina and... Enoshima?

I thought she was... Ah, maybe something's wrong with my head for the moment.

You thought everyone would determined to solve everything in this class trial. But in fact, the atmosphere felt... tense. Like they are wary of each other. You step into the elevator and try to figure something out, but then someone nudged you.

"I'll wait for your signal. I believe you have a good plan. Let's give it our all," Enoshima said.

Signal? What does she mean?

You blankly nodded without getting to ask what she meant because she already takes her distance. Suddenly, you felt a sting on your skin, it seems like there is something in your pocket. Unexpectedly, there is a photo and seems like its edge is the one stung you.

Actually you wonder how it was inside your pocket all along, but you have something more important to think about. That is, in the photo there are all the 78th Class' students smiling happily. Yes, everyone except you. It somehow hurt you, even more hurt than being electrocuted.

That time we spent together... is it all lie?

Why? Why you are the only one not included? If they were going to take a photo of the 78th Class, they should've ask you to join them, right? Even though you are the SHSL Loner, you don't know how to react anymore. You remember that there was a voice you heard when you passed out. It's like, 'I don't want to be a loner.' Was that yours?

Now, what? Are you going to trust them nonetheless? Or not?

The elevator stopped. You all step out and walk to your seat. It's a few seconds of silence before Monokuma started announcing, "before the class trial begins, please wait for a while!"

Waiting? That is unusual.

"What do you mean by waiting?" Asked Kirigiri.

"Upupupu... It won't take long. I have a surprise for all of you. No spoiler!"

Nobody comments, not even Asahina or Hagakure. But as Monokuma said, someone walked out from the elevator after a while of awakwardness and everyone's attention set on that person.

Monokuma:
"For this class trial, we got a special guest! Greet the Kibougamine Gakuen's ex-headmaster warmly, okay? Our special guest is Kirigiri Jin-sensei who will be joining in this class trial!" 

Everyone, except Kirigiri, is surprised by the presence of the man they ever suspected as the mastermind. Kirigiri Jin, he has a dark purple hair, eyes and face resembling his daughter. He wears a black suit with a purple tie. He calmly walks to a free seat next to Naegi with his (maybe) usual stern face. Oh, almost nobody noticed this. There are total of 17 seats all along, but now there's a new one occasionally for him.
