Chapter 19 /II/

"As long as I'm alive, I won't give up!" Naegi shouted. But then he sighed and lie down to save some energy.

BOOM!

Bags of trash fell down near Naegi which makes him surprised. "What's with those trash?"

"How rude of you calling me trash," a voice said from those bags.

"Kirigiri-san!" Naegi called happily, because he might not ended up in the worst situation he imagined (that is eating cockroach or starve to death). "Uuh... your head," Naegi pointed a ramen cup on her head.

After brushing that ramen cup off, Kirigiri hands Naegi a bread and a bottle of water for him to eat. When they just begin to talk, a sound of

BOOM!

heard again. This time, it's you. "Sorry if I disturb you lovebirds," you said as you are dusting your clothes.

"We're not lovebirds," Kirigiri emphasized.

"Anyway, I'm going to make things clear, Naegi. I told Alter Ego to interrupt the execution, which makes you end up here, so that's why I'm cornering you with untrue evidence like poison. And I'm not going to apologize or anything, just so you know." You smirked. "Maybe you would've thanked me if you both did something before I came, huh? Or did I come too early?"

"W-we did nothing," Naegi shakes his head while you try to ignore Kirigiri's death glare.

After waiting for Naegi to finish his bread, now you have to find a way out. Naegi found a door earlier, but locked. Fortunately, we have Kirigiri and Monokuma key.

"Stairs?" You mumbled. You and Kirigiri glances at each other. "Well, Naegi of course will go first," you paused. "And... Kirigiri will go next."

"No, you can go first," Kirigiri also seems troubled.

"I'm, uh... actually on my period, so you go first," you pushed her lightly to the stairs.

"You're lying," Kirigiri stated.

"Uhh... what about rock-paper-scissor?" Naegi suggested.

"Worth a try."

You and Kirigiri stand face to face and, "rock paper scissor!"
"Tie."
"Rock paper scissor!"
"Tie."
"Rockpaperscissor! Rockpaperscissor! Rockpaperscissor!"
And that goes... god-knows-the-speed, maybe fifty ties in one minute.
"Rock paper scissor!"
You mentally screamed because you has rock and she has scissor. "Let's go now," you smiled victorously.

Naegi climbs first, followed by Kirigiri and then you. "Don't look up," Kirigiri said before climbing.

"Don't step on me then," you replied.

Kirigiri explained about why she came to this academy. It all begins from her father who hated being a detective. Later, when her nother died, he used that as an excuse to run away, leaving the little Kirigiri alone. Naegi said that maybe if her father can, he would have brought her with him.

"In that case, I should be thankful. Thankful that he left me behind..." she said. That's because she liked being a detective and she is grateful from the bottom of her heart that he left without taking her with him. Though she is grateful, she dislike the way people look at her as 'the girl who was abandoned by her father.'

So she enter this academy in order to cut all ties with him. "I'm fed up with having my past - that man's shadow - always hanging over me... I want to cut him out of my life, once and for all... That's why I have to tell him. Tell him to his face... that I'm cutting all ties... So I can clear the books on our past... So I can remove that man from my life..."

"But you're fa-'

"Hey, Naegi," you nudged him after you all finished climbing. Slowly, you lean to his ear, "guess, what colour?"

"H-huh?! W-w-what do you mean?" Blush slowly appear on his face.

"You clearly know what I mean," you smirked. "Or do you need me to give you options? A. Black. B. Pink. C--"

"Stop! I-I don't want to know!" He covers his ears and flustered which makes you laugh.

"What's up with you two?" Kirigiri asked while trying to hide her jealousy.

"Nothing, nothing," you patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, I have no intention of snatching others' boyfriend."

And then you three head to the gym to meet Monokuma and demand to repeat the class trial. After Monokuma agreed, you three went to the cafeteria and meet Togami, Fukawa, Asahina, Hagakure and Mukuro. They apologized to Naegi.

Monokuma announced about the class trial to reveal every single myetery in the school. The last class trial. As for that, every locked door will be unlocked.

"Hey, make sure you check everything while you have the chance, okay?" You tell Naegi. "No matter what. Check everything no matter how tiny and ignorable they are before you leave a room because you never know how that Monokuma thinks."

"Mukuro," you whispered to that girl. "Don't reveal yourself yet. Wait until I told you so in class trial. Just stay by Kirigiri's side for now."

You really want to go directly to the Data Processing Room and expose Junko directly, but that would be dangerous and unfair.

Let's just finish this with your own game, Enoshima Junko.

You are about to walk to the stairs to the second floor, but you remembered something Naegi has ever told you. You found some Monokuma coins but you don't know that they are worthy at Mono-Mono Machine. Out of curiosity, you went to try it because Naegi once gave you Luwak coffee from that machine.

You inserted quit a lot but you got weird things instead. You heard Naegi is walking by, so you pull him inside and force him to try. "Let's see how a luckster works," you smirked.

And he do it for you. This time, a button with 'escape' written on it came out. Just as he is thinking about pressing it, you snatched it from his hand and pressed it.

You heart beats faster and faster because you are electric-shocked from the button for maybe three seconds. Then, you passed out and the panic Naegi is the last thing you see.

Huh? Naegi?

What... am I doing?

Seems like there is something real important...
