No Longer Afraid

Sit! Stay! Good Boy!

You heard Hobi, so you turned and popped your head around the door, looking at Min.

Trying not to laugh, you say as firmly as possible, "Min, sit!" he sits on the floor. "Good boy, now stay or no kibble later." you and Jinni laugh.

You leave to get Jinni a new pack. She pets Min's head, saying, "He really is a good boy." 

He looks at his sister and pants with his tongue hanging out. They, along with Hobi, crack up laughing.

Hobi sits on the couch, and they begin talking. Min says, "It is really nice to meet any friend of Tae's."

Hobi says, "Thanks."

His sister agrees, "Yes, it is, and Tae is so cute."

During the conversation, Hobi discovers that Jinni and Min are working their way through university.

Hobi asks Jinni, "What are you studying?"

She smiles, "I'm studying studio special effects and prop making, and Min is . . ." She giggles as she pets his head and then cracks up laughing.

 Her brother says, "I'm studying to be a veterinarian." He swats his sister's hand away as Hobi joins in the laughter.

When you come back with the new blood pack, Jinni shows Hobi how the pack works. Hobi is standing close to Min and listening intently to Jinni.

You smile and enter the room. "Okay, Jinni, let's get this set up. Break's almost over."

Jinni stands with her back to Hobi and Min while you replace her blood pack. Once it's in place, she faces the guys.

"Ok, Jinni, let's see if it works." Jinni touches a spot on her wrist, and fake blood starts to trickle out of her wrist and the side of her neck, where there is a sizeable fake bite.

Jinni smiles, "Perfect!"

"Easy fix, Jin. How is your ear, Min?"

He pats it and says, "It's good now, thanks Jaejae."

You look at Hobi, "Ok, one last ghoul to check, and then I want to show you the shed out back."

"We will see you at dinner tonight, right?" you ask Jinni and Min.

Min says, "We wouldn't miss it."

Hobi smiles, and instead of waiting for you to take his hand, he reaches out and takes yours. You smile and glance over at Jinni. She grins at you and gives you a wink.

You're almost at the back door to exit the house of horror when a ghoul jumps out and wails loudly. You noticed that Hobi didn't even flinch.

You smile, "Hobi, this is my brother Dae."

Hobi reaches out and actually shakes hands with a ghoul. "Hi, it's nice to meet you. You have a wonderful sister."

He smiles, "I agree," and looks proudly at you.

You slightly blush, "Oh, stop. Do you need any touch-ups or repairs, oppa?"

He runs his hands over his ruined, stained clothes and says, "No, I'm good. Thanks, little sis."

 "Oppa, Hobi, Tae, and their friends will be joining us for dinner later."

"That's fantastic. I'm looking forward to it." Hobi and Dae shake hands.

"Hobi, you can step out if you want. I need a minute to talk to my brother."

Hobi starts to reach for the back door, then stops and tries to look out from side to side before opening it.

You laugh, "It's ok, no more surprises." He smiles and steps out.

You turn to your brother and say, "I think what Tae and I planned may be helping him a lot."

Your brother smiles at you, "You're the best sister, you know that?" and he kisses you on the cheek.

"I think he likes you too." he mischievously grins.

"Oh, stop joking." you start blushing.

"Oh, and I see from your pink cheeks you like him too."

You smile as you step out the door. You stop and say, "You're right, I do. And Tae was right also. I had already started falling for him a while back." 

He softly smiles as the door closes behind you.
