"Snap twice, you see it will be fun..."

Jacob snapped his fingers twice in front of the Poe statue, a secret passage then opened behind it, revealing a staircase.

"Yeah I swear the riddle will be hard to solve."

The witch was speaking in a high pitched voice as to mimick someone.

"Yeah it will be only for the best he said."

Jacob went down the stairs.

"Only the brightest ones will be able to access it he said. And yet at least half of you are dumbasses. The nightshades have fallen low."

The witch reached the end of the stairway, he was now in a secret circular library with students dressed in robes and Wednesday tied to a chair.

"Yo man!"

Ajax waved at Jacob who waved back before looking at Wednesday.

"Didn't know you were into that kind of things.

-I almost got my hopes up. Too bad they're stupid.

-Want me to kidnap you next time?

-When I'm dead and my bone have withered away then I'll think about it.

-Have it your way."

Jacob sat on the stairs and waved dismissely at the Nightshades.

"Go on with your business. I'm bored so entertain me."

Xavier pointed at him.

"We're not your clowns.

-You were dressed as one earlier. That's enough for me."

Bianca interrupted, speaking to both Jacob and Wednesday.

"The Nightshades are an elite social club. Emphasis on elite."

The vampire, Yoko, began to speak.

"We have roof parties, campouts, the occasional midnight skinny-dip

-Yeah roof parties without alcohol. Talk about boring."

Jacob's complaint was ignored.

"And Yoko's an amateur mixologist."

The vampire smiled at the compliment. Ajax smiled before speaking.

"She makes a killer virgin mojito. It can get pretty wild.

-Yeah. When I actually drown the damn thing in rhum."

Bianca threw something at Jacob but it went right through him. Wednesday glared at the people in the room.

"Wow do you guys even have a bedtime? Last I heard the Nightshades has been disbanded."

Xavier spoke.

"Yeah, the group kind of lost its charter 30 years ago after some normie kid died."

Wednesday didn't miss Jacob's eyes turning away from them. He knew something about this.

"But we have a lot of wealthy alumni, so Weems looks the other way as long as nobody makes any waves."

Wednesday turned to Yoko.

"Someone like Rowan."

Bianca frowned.

"We booted that loser last semester. Question is, what are we gonna do with her? Only members are allowed in the library."

The students looked between themselves, unsure what to do. Xavier then had an idea.

"I say we invite her to pledge.
