16. Jiang Cheng

Jiang Cheng POV :

I feel that the past three weeks had been the most difficult days in my life. And I think it's the same for everyone at home. Xiao Zhan wakes up screaming when I try to sleep a little.  Yanli's wedding day is approaching. Back then Zhan told me that we would do the preparations together. Now, I even thought of postponing the wedding because of his condition. Groom's family preparations are at the final stage so that didn't work. Also I can't tell them the reason behind it. So now, I have to do it alone. Having Wen Ning is a great relief. Poor him, he has to look after the wedding stuff and Zhan's stuff as well. Since Zhan was not involved in anything related to shooting, he should take responsibility for that too.

It has been three weeks since Wen Qing went to the hospital. Yanli doesn't go to the office either. Everyone is guarding Zhan. If by chance he gets alone, he attempts suicide. Just days before, Yanli was in kitchen and Wen Qing kinda dozed off. Fortunately Wen Ning arrived there and stopped his attempt to die by swallowing all the medicine together. If not what would have happened?.

Last week I fell asleep in the middle of guarding him. I was really tired of everything, even the lack of sleep took toll on me. Luckily, I was woken up by a sound to see Zhan attempting to jump from the balcony. From then on, we have to tie his hands and feet. Sleeping pills were injected to make him sleep initially, but since Wen Qing said it's not always good to do so, she only inject it on days when he go crazy. It wasn't easy. Since this is such a case and he's a celebrity it's not easy to admit him in the hospital. Neighbours have complained against him to the management. Since it's my own company and management I could solve it without much issues.

We even thought of shifting him to our own home, but decided not to, since there is a higher chance for our parents to get there, to help us with wedding. Father has been calling me to ask why Zhan is not attending his calls. How am I supposed to say what happened. So I blocked his number and then mother's when he started calling me from hers. I know it's the stupidest idea but I don't know what else to say. At first I said he is out somewhere related to shooting, but him being a celebrity and his absence in promotion became a public discussion I decided not to talk to them. But how long can I do this? People has been asking what happened to him. Since the day when reporters started appearing in front of my company I stopped going there too. Now everything is done by my assistant, Nie Huaisang.

It's the same with Wen Ning. He is in a situation where he can't turn off his phone or block someone because that might ruin Zhan's career. So last week he made a statement that Zhan has gone to Himalayas for meditation purpose as he was suffering from insomnia and stress. Stupidest and dumbest idea, I know, yet that calmed the situation. But how long? What will he say if this continues for weeks, months.

Wen Qing is now thinking of trying to use the help of a psycologist in her hospital. I was against it at first, but now I think it's necessary. By using any methods I must fix this. When Yanli goes to her husband's home he must be there with his usual smile and happiness. She likes him more than me. Him being like this is hurting her too. We chose the date based on his schedule and it's just a month away, so we must do everything we can to bring the old Zhan back.

He was woken up from his thoughts when his phone rang.

"Hello............Mmmm....There? Oh God....Tell them he went to a trip....no. Try everything you can and be polite, don't make any mistake. If they find anything suspicious, everything will be ruined......ok.....Postpone the meeting, say them it's because of the wedding and all commotion....Make sure nothing goes wrong. Ok?"

It's Nie Huaisang who called. The press and some fans of Zhan are now in front of the company. They were trying to break in. How long can I hide it? What if something goes wrong? Oh god I can't even imagine it. Everything's making me go crazy.
