Final Battle

Once we were sure all the missing people were out, Vincent, William, Hero, Endra, Kristen, Phil, Dream, Grian, Techno, Monika, Malice, and I started preparing for the fight that was to come. Swords, axes, crossbows, and various other weapons were grabbed and equipped. I was sitting on a crate sharpening my daggers when Thor approached me. 

"Hey Thor, you need something?" I asked, setting down my daggers and taking a drink of water. "Stand up for a minute, I wish to try something" Thor requested, setting Mjolnir down on the crate. "You know the story of this hammer yes?" He asked, pointing to it. "Of course I do..." I scoffed, rolling my eyes at the quite ridiculous question. "Lift it..." Thor nodded, taking a step back. I stood there momentarily, shocked that he wanted me to try to lift Mjolnir off the crate. "You, want me, to lift that hammer?" I asked, pointing to the mythical weapon and then back at myself. "Have faith and try your best, I wish to see if you are worthy to wield it..." Thor explained. "Okay, I guess..." I nodded, looking at the hammer. While it was quite intimidating, to say the least, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and reached for the leather strap of the handle and grabbed it. At first, it was cumbersome however when I saw I had slightly lifted it off the wooden crate it was set on I was quite astonished at myself. For a moment I didn't believe my eyes. I looked over to Thor and then back at the hammer in shock causing Thor to laugh at how surprised I looked. "Mjolnir can only be wielded by those it considers worthy Maria, it seems you so happen to be one of those few people. I want you to bring it in with you, Maria, use it to defeat XD." He nodded. 

"Wait, you know about XD?" I inquired. "Keep in mind that he is a well-known shapeshifter, Maria, the Dream SMP, and Unity are unfortunately not the only places he has tried to wreak havoc..." Thor sighed, looking over at the building. "Are you saying he's tried to attack Asgard?!" I asked, astonished at the amount of nerve XD had to attack one of the godly realms. "He was the reason Hela was able to escape the Isle of Silence in the first place." He explained. "I'll do my best..." I nodded, picking up my daggers and putting them in one of my vest pockets. "Well, I wish you good luck in there Maria." Thor nodded. "You forget I don't need luck Thor, I have willpower, and a wrath greater than Zeus could ever even comprehend." I reminded, laughing. "Of course, of course." He laughed.

"Maria! It's time to go in, let's move!" Malice shouted over from where she and the others were standing by the door of the building. "Welp, that's my cue, see you later Thor." I waved, walking off toward the group. 

"Everyone ready?" I asked as I approached the group. "Sure are." Kristen smiled, giving a thumbs up. "I'm all set here." Monika grinned as she closed out of her inventory screen. "Same here," Vincent commented when he and William glitched over to us. "ready to go Maria." Hero nodded. "Good, in that case, let's head inside." I nodded, holding the door open for them. "Oh! Don't forget these." Natasha reminded, handing each of us an earpiece. "Thanks, Nat." I smiled, equipping mine. "No problem, Maria." Natasha nodded. 

Everything was incredibly still once we stepped inside. Deadly still, and deadly silent. "Everyone stay on guard, we don't know where they are." I reminded. We searched the mall for over two hours and found nothing. "What the heck... Where are they?" I muttered. Suddenly, Autumn messaged me, telling me to video call her immediately. When she answered she seemed greatly panicked. 

"Honey, what's wrong?!" I asked, stepping away from the group. "You're not going to find anything there..." She whispered as if she was afraid of being heard. "What do you mean Autumn?" I asked, worry growing in my voice. "They're here..." She hyperventilated. "Crap..." I muttered under my breath. "Where are your sisters dear?" I inquired. "Aunt Ella picked them up to go to the park about an hour ago. When they got here I messaged her not to bring them back to the house so I don't know where they are now..." She whispered. "When did they get there?" I asked. "They were here when we got home," Autumn whispered. "Is Eret with you?" I asked. "N-no, she went to distract the two of them so I could get away!" Autumn sniffed. "Dang it anyways Alistair..." I huffed, messaging the group. 

Maria: Everyone retreat, they aren't here...

Malice: How do you know?

Maria: I'm on a video call with Autumn right now and they ambushed the two of them. She says Eret went to try and distract them so she could get away.

Hero: I swear to Irene, he needs to learn that she doesn't need to prove themselves!

I instantly rushed out of the building. "They've duped us! They went to my place and ambushed Eret and Autumn!" I called, running down the street. "You heard her everyone, pack all this up and head to Maria's house!" Fury hollered. Instantly, all of the Shield agents who were present quickly began to pack everything up, but I didn't have time to help. I spread my wings and took off, flying in the direction of my house.
