"Uka Uka? Goodness, where could he be?"

Natalie's search for the evil mask was nearing its end. He wasn't where she recalled seeing him earlier that day. She was ready to give up, but a few seconds later, she spotted the mask just down the hallway.

Approaching him, she stated, "Ah, there you are. I've been looking everywhere."

"It is time," Uka Uka said.

"Huh?"

"That bandicoot must be eliminated."

"Before you go, there is something I must inform you of."

"That can wait! Cortex and I are going to show that marsupial and that brother of mine who is truly the most powerful!"

Natalie sighed in defeat as she watched the mask disappear. Now that she wasn't able to tell him the truth, she decided to finally begin her search for Doctor Nitrus Brio. There was no telling where he could be, but she was determined.

Crash had done it. He had collected five more Crystals. He heaved a sigh. He had defeated Cortex more than once in the past, so why was he nervous now?

"Everything's going to be okay," Megumi assured the male bandicoot. "You've got this. We know you do."

"But what if I fail this time?" Crash asked. "What then?"

"Oh please," Liz scoffed. "Cortex is incompetent. He barely even knows how to fight."

"I guess you're right..."

Raven and Stormy suddenly appeared, alongside N. Brio. "I see you two have succeeded," said Aku Aku.

"Yeah," Stormy panted.

"Hey, you okay?" Ami asked.

"The Superior tried to stop us, and believe me when I say it was a grueling battle. We still came out on top, though!"

"Is it time for the battle against Doctor Cortex and Uka Uka?" Raven asked.

Before anyone had time to respond, Cortex and Uka Uka appeared on the monitor once again. The evil scientist could be seen laughing hysterically, but no one was certain what reason he could have for doing so.

The laughter eventually ceased as Cortex said, "I'm sorry. This is the part where I'm supposed to be angry...full of rage...incensed beyond belief. Once again, you have outsmarted and outspun my best henchmen. I should be rather upset, shouldn't I?"

"And in fact, we're FURIOUS!" Uka Uka boomed. "But it seems you have overlooked one small detail, you little orange delivery boy. Now that you have gathered all the Crystals, all we have to do...IS TAKE THEM FROM YOU!"

Crash was just about to go through the portal, but he stopped when another individual's face appeared on the screen. This time it depicted Natalie, whose expression was one of concern. Whatever was wrong with her, though, they did not care. She was a villain, after all; once a villain, always a villain. That was what they believed, anyway.

"Ah, I see you have N. Brio with you," she began. "That explains why I had trouble locating him. I had heard that the MoDs had taken him from us..."

"Well, we rescued him," Stormy said.

"I can see that. Anyway, you must listen to me carefully. Cortex and Uka Uka - they have disappeared to another time, I'm afraid."
