Chapter 5 - Cont Flashback/Prologue

Logan and Odette had not left for London yet. Honor's son's birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. It was decided his birthday party would be the weekend after Thanksgiving, so Logan and Odette were staying in Honor and Josh's guest house until the party. Logan would be working from the Hartford office.

After Rory left Paris' office Monday, she called Finn. "Finn, Hey how are you? I see you survived Thanksgiving. Did you get to see your family?" They chit-chatted for a while, then she asked him to lunch at her house Wednesday. Of course he had questions, she just told him she needed his help with something. Finn agreed to lunch without too many more questions. Finn was always willing to help. Especially Rory.

Wednesday, November 2016 Hartford Ct. Gilmore Manor

Paris and Lane were already there. Lane brought burgers from Luke's. The three girls were talking when the doorbell rang.

Finn was excited to see Rory, "Love," He said, hugging her tight. "Something smells good." but when he entered the dining room and saw Paris and Lane, he got worried. He took a good look at Rory. Was she sick? He sat down weirdly. Lane passed him a burger and fries. Paris asked him what he wanted to drink.

"Gin and Tonic?" Finn asked. He had a feeling he was going to need it. Rory handed him a water bottle. She smiled at him.

After listening to the girls talk. Asking questions where necessary, Finn agreed to contact Logan to set up a meeting between him and Rory. Rory told him she would fly to him if needed.

When Finn contacted Logan, he didn't realize he was still in the States. After many questions Finn didn't answer, Logan agreed to meet with Rory. Friday morning.

Rory and Logan met at the Gilmore Manor. Finn picked him up at Honor's and dropped him off at Rory's. Finn didn't go in. He told Logan he would be back soon, to call him if he needed to leave before he got back.

Logan entered the Manor when she opened the door. "Ace, not that I don't want to see you, because I do, but I thought you wanted to stop.......Well whatever we were doing." Logan told her.

She led him into the living room. Paris was sitting in the chair with her laptop in her lap. This put Logan's senses on sharp notice. "Ace?" he said.

She motioned for him to sit. Paris got up with her laptop. "I'll be in your office when you get ready for me."

"Rory?" Logan said. "What is going on?" He was about to stand back up, but she sat down beside him. She took his hand in hers. The contact causes Logan to take a deep breath.

"I have something to tell you, but I need you to hear me." She said, He nodded. "The night of my surprise party," she sighed. She had a smile on her face, so did he. "You left me a souvenir." She put her hand on her stomach.

Logan looked from her face, to her stomach. He stood up. Then he sat down. The smile on his face went from shock, to worry, then back to a smile.

"Before you say anything, I am fine and so is the baby." She told him. "I just found out Sunday, confirmed with Paris on Monday. Finn, Paris, Lane and now you are the only one that knows. Yes, I am keeping it." Logan still had not spoken. "Stay right here. Process what I have told you. I am going to get Paris." Logan had a confused look on his face. Rory was watching him closely. "We have a plan and want to run it by you." Logan nodded. She was sure he was in shock.
