I have already written Chapter 9 and 10, but after reading reviews, I think I should better explain some of the reasoning behind Rory and Logan's decision. As always, the end game is Logan and Rory. Thanks so much for your help. These are the kinds of reviews I like.

Thanks so much to all my reviews, the ones that give me suggestions as well as the ones that tell me they like the chapter, or they like the way I write. THANKS, Thanks, thanks.

Chapter 9

It was after supper time before the three of them got back home. Kenni ordered pizza to be delivered when they got home.

Rory texted Logan.

R: Tori is fine, but I will not be available to talk for a couple of days

L: Glad she is okay. Let me know when we can talk. It is real important

R: How long will you be in town?

L: I have meetings in New York, but I will be back in Hartford by lunch Friday.

R: Meet me Saturday morning at my office. Godwin building, 25 floor, suite 2510. Text me when you get here and I will let you up. Shouldn't be anyone else in my office.

L: What time?

R: 10

L: K

Rory took care of Tori the rest of the week. Tori's arm was not broken, but they glued a laceration about ¼ inch long under her chin. They promised it wouldn't scar.

Aunt Gigi dripped in on her way to Yale. Grampa and Grammy stopped by, with a new barbie and a book.

Luke and Lorelai returned Friday. They stopped by the Manor on their way home.

"Lele," Tori said. "Look" She held up her head so she could see her chin.

"I know," Lorelai told her. "Momma told me, and Papa Luke said he would make you some Chocolate Chip pamcakes to make you feel better."

"Chocolate Chip?" she asked. Luke looked at his wife.

"You couldn't have said blueberry?" Luke grumbled. "Yes sweetie, chocolate pamcakes it is."

"Momma can I go with Lele and Papa Luke?" She begged. "Pleaseeeee?"

"Yeah, Momma Pleaseeeee" Lorelai said.

Rory rolled her eyes, "Yes, but I will be there to pick you up after lunch."

Tori was jumping up and down. "Let me get you packed." She told her.

"Nah, I got everything she will need at my house."Lorelai told her.

"Toothbrush?" Tori and Lorelai nodded. "Pajamas?" They both nodded. "Underwear?" Tori gave them a look. Lorelai nodded and Tori cut her eyes at Papa Luke.

"Not Underwear," she told her. "Panties" She said in a whisper as you cut her eyes back at Papa Luke. He tried not to laugh at her.

"Okay, I guess it will be alright not to pack." Rory told her. "I am going to be lonely in this big ole house by myself."

"I sorry Momma, do you want to come with us?" Tori asked. "I don't want you to be alone."

"Get a man," Lorelia whispered.

Rory gave her mother a look. " I will be fine. I have plenty of work to keep me busy. You go have a blast and don't eat too much chocolate pamcakes. Maybe some fruit with it?" She looked up at Luke.

He nodded. "Come on Tori, I will give you a piggyback ride to the car." Luke said as he picked her up. She squealed while Lorelai and Rory laughed.

"Seriously Kid," Lorelai said, "you need to find you a man. What happened to Charlie?"

"Charles?" Rory asked. She nodded. "I got the feeling he was not too happy around kids. I mentioned Tori two or three times, but by the third date, I could tell he wasn't interested."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Lorelai said.

"I'm fine," Rory said as she walked her to the door.

After they left, Rory sat down. The past few nights, she has allowed Tori to sleep in the bed with her. She wanted to keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't have side effects from the bump on the head. She hasn't had time to just sit down and think about Logan. Yes the thought of him passed her mind several times, but she hasn't had time until now, to just think.

She fixed a glass of wine, turned on the TV and sat on the sofa. What could he want? Does he want to get to know Tori? Does he think they could be together? No, it has been too long. Has it? She sat watching a movie, or better yet a movie was playing in the background.

She didn't realize how late it was until she heard Kenni come in.

"Hey, didn't know it had gotten this late." Rory told her. "Did you have a good time?"

"We danced, got hit on by several guys, they bought us drinks all night. We didn't have to pay for anything." Kenni told her with a smile.

Rory laughed with her. "Well Tori is in Stars Hollow. Take two aspirin and drink lots of water. Sleep in in the morning."

Kenni nodded. "Thanks"

Rory was up early Saturday morning. She had something to do in the office in Hartford. She has a CEO that takes care of most things, but she still maintained an office on their floor. Sometimes she just needs to get away to write.

She made her coffee, drinking the first cup, then grabbed a pop tart and a tumbler of coffee to go. She and Tori could manage without a housekeeper or a maid, but with a housekeeper and maid, it makes life easier. She thinks she may have finally made her mother believe that. She will be glad when Sara returns Monday.

She parked her car in her designated spot in the underground garage. She grabbed her purse and her keys before locking the door. She was waiting on the elevator when one of the security guards walked up to her.

"Ms. Gilmore?" Fred asked.

Rory turned to him. "Hey, Fred, just working a little this morning." She told him.

"It's good to see you." Fred told her. "Just making my rounds."

"I am expecting a visitor around 10, He is supposed to call when he gets her. I will call you to let him up." She said,

"That's fine with me." Fred said.

Rory got on the elevator and rode it to the 25th floor. She unlocked the main door to the suite, entered and locked it back. She then went to her office to put her things down.

Rory was so deep in her emails, that she didn't know anyone else was in the office. She looked up when she heard a knock on her door frame. It scared her.

"Sorry, Boss," Kimberly said as Rory clenched her heart. "Didn't mean to scar you. Heard someone in here when I came in, just checking to see who it is."

"It's me," Rory said. "Got some work to catch up on and I have a meeting at 10. I thought this was as good a place as any. Didn't realize anyone would be here."

"Same here." Kimberly said. "My granddaughter and her friend spent the night with me. Now they just had to be dropped off at the mall, 'to watch a movie'. Kimberly was chuckling. "They think I am so ancient that I don't remember telling my mother I was going to see a movie."

Rory and Kimberly chatted a few more minutes, then Kimberly left to go to her office. Rory hoped she would stay in her office when Logan got her.
