Steve had his arms around my waist from behind as we watched the bull riders practice.

"I'm surprised Sawyer's hasn't gotten Levinson under their belt yet," Steve murmured against my temple, a chuckle leaving my lips when Rhett kicked his legs on my hip, "He's got great potential." Steve's hands were rubbing my stomach while I leaned back against him. Tomorrow was the start of his home rodeo, well our home rodeo now, and I knew he was nervous. But I didn't comment on it, instead, I let him talk about whatever he wanted to, and if our newest contract was what he wanted to talk about, then we were going to.

"We did sign him," Steve huffed a laugh behind my head, "It's what I was working on yesterday, I thought your reputation was bad when I came out here, but you're an angel in comparison," Steve kissed my temple gently before kissing Rhett's forehead.

"Don't listen to your mama, I was perfect," Rhett's eyes sparkled when he looked at his Dad and I smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek, his smile growing. I loved him so much it hurt sometimes. I loved both of them, but Rhett held my heart, watching him grow up has been so beautiful, even in the short time I've been around, I've seen some of the biggest milestones. His first words, watching him pull to stand up, and learning about his love for cows. I may not have birthed him, but I would always love him like I did. "I mean look at you son, you're pretty great, so I couldn't have been that bad."

I rolled my eyes, leaning my head back to meet Steve's blue eyes. "Okay, so maybe I wasn't perfect," Steve murmured when he leaned down to kiss me gently, "Your mama got me into shape though, she's our favorite isn't she buddy?" Rhett giggled before pressing a kiss to my cheek. "Yeah, she is our favorite, and we have another favorite growing," Steve's fingers pressed gently into my stomach, rubbing the skin softly, "I love you Madison."

"I love you too."

Rhett laid his head on my shoulder as we watched Nathan practice, and soon enough, Rhett had fallen asleep. Steve shrugged off his flannel, draping it over the sleeping boy when Rae finally came to join us. "I don't know what the hell your dad was thinking when he signed Levinson," She groaned, dropping down onto the bleacher beside me, "Nathan's been his mentor for years apparently, but the asshole is the biggest one I've ever met, and we've met Steve and Nathan. No offense."

"I'm taking full offense." Steve teased, keeping his arm around my shoulder to make sure Rhett was comfortable during his nap.

"Yeah well, I'll pretend I'm shocked," I shoved Rae gently, a grunt leaving her lips, "Anyway, he's the biggest playboy I've ever seen, he showed up with Savannah, I couldn't believe it, and when I told him at Sawyers we're not supposed to be interacting with Savannah he just laughed at me and asked who I was," Rae scoffed and I tried to hide my laugh, pressing my mouth into Steve's shoulder, "Who does he think he is?"

Nathan groaned as he dropped down beside Rae, dirt covered his legs but he propped his feet up on the bleacher below us. "He's an asshole but he's a damn good bull rider, Rae, not everyone is going to love you," Rae smacked Nathan's chest and he groaned, "Of course, I love you sunshine but you come on a little strong baby, and Ari thinks he's the hottest shit out there."

"Plus there's no rule at Sawyers that says to stay away from Savannah," I added.

"There should be," Rae mumbled as she crossed her arms, reminding me of a toddler throwing a temper tantrum while Nathan shook his head chuckling, wrapping an arm around my best friend's shoulders and tucking her into his side, "She fucking smirked at me Madison, acting like she didn't abandon her kid and then try to waltz back into Steve's pants because she thought he was easy."
