I gasp, 'He has a daughter? And Taylor, are you hitting on Principal Davis's daughter?'

Harry and Carl burst out laughing. Taylor blushes, 'Umm, she's hot, you know.'

I giggle and nod at him, 'Sure. But besides being hot, what kind of person is she?'

Harry leans on the table, 'She doesn't talk to a lot of people. She thinks it's a waste of time.' I burst out laughing, and Harry stares at me.

It was just really funny to me.

'Okay, never mind, sorry. Continue,' I say.

Carl shakes his head, 'The people she talks to say she's real frank, but not exactly rude. She just doesn't like a lot of things.'

'Then what does she like?' I ask.

'I'm not really sure,' Carl replies, 'but she travels a lot. She's her daddy's daughter, so he lets her go anywhere she wants. Like last month, she went to Italy on her private jet. There were so many rumors about that. Some even said--'

Taylor interrupts him, 'She went to France.' He whispers.

I frown, 'What?'

He looks up, 'She went to France.'

All of us burst out laughing. I turn to Harry, 'What class is she in?'

Harry shrugs. I look at Taylor, 'She's in 204, Mr. Miller's class.'

I giggle at Taylor, 'Since you know everything, Taylor, do you think I can be friends with her?'

Carl replies before Taylor can say anything, 'I think you should ask Leo about this. He'd know more.'

I see Taylor's face twitch and frown. 'Leo? Why?'

Harry shakes his head, 'He's one of the few people actually close to her.'

I raise my eyebrows, 'Leo? With Kiri? Damn, I didn't think Kiri was the one to talk to cold people.'

Taylor stifles a laugh but ends up giggling. I smile, 'Alright, it's almost 10. I'll get going to check on Icy Leo.'

All three of them burst out laughing and wish me goodnight as I walk into my room.

Leo's reading. Still. 'Hey Leo, listen.' He doesn't move his head, but his eyes meet mine.

I shift my weight, 'Umm... do you know Kiri?'

He nods and looks back into his book, 'Yeah.'

'Is she nice?'

Leo shrugs.

"Do you think I can be friends with her?"

He shrugs again.

I flail my arms in frustration. I grab a towel and some basic toiletries from my suitcase and walk into the bathroom.

I look at my reflection as I trace the lining of the basin.I look fine... surprisingly. I definitely wasn't feeling fine, though. I wonder how my day tomorrow would go. It feels weird knowing that there would be no girls anywhere, except maybe Kiri, but I have no idea what kind of a person she is. There's a high chance she would just 'ew' me and continue with her life.

I sigh and step into the shower. The warm water relaxes my skin after the tension of the day. The water runs down my hair and my shoulders, and I feel calm. I feel fine, for the first time today.
