CHAPTER 3 : HOSPITAL
"Miss Iwakura!" a voice resonated through the grand corridor, accompanied by the rhythmic tap of shoes on the polished, yellowish-beige floor.
Chihaya turned, scanning for the person who had called out. Behind her stood a young man with sleek, jet-black hair cascading to his shoulders, framing his slender form. Rectangular glasses adorned his face, the blue frames adding a distinctive touch. Despite being only a year older than Chihaya, the sharp lines of his features gave him an air of maturity beyond his years.
"President?" curiosity sparkled in her eyes.
The President bent his knees slightly and took a deep breath as if completing a marathon.
"A-Are you okay?" Chihaya inquired, her brows furrowing in concern, her face etched with worry.
The President flinched, chuckled nervously, and instinctively took a step back. Apart from her extensive knowledge, except for sports, Chihaya possessed a grace that emanated from every line of her figure—a natural elegance that held one's attention captive.
Regaining his composure, the President straightened his posture and shifted his focus from her appearance. With a subtle cough, he redirected his attention back to the matter at hand.
"I apologise for my behaviour," he bowed.
"It's fine," Chihaya replied, her lips lifting slightly, indicating for him to stand up.
"So, how can I assist you?" she inquired.
The President adjusted his glasses and responded, "You are neighbours with Itadori Yuji, right?"
Chihaya subtly nodded in confirmation.
"I don't know if you are aware, but..." replied the President. "Itadori has skipped classes for two days straight. If this continues, the teachers might contact his guardian," he explained.
"If he persists in this behaviour, even though we called his guardian, we may need to withdraw him from school due to our stringent policies. It's important to note that Itadori enrolled with a scholarship," the President emphasised.
Chihaya exhaled deeply and slapped her hand on her forehead. However, she wearily tilted her head and faced the President with a solemn demeanour.
"Due to recent illness, Yuji has been unable to attend school, and communicating about his sickness was difficult given his weakened condition. With his guardian absent, he lacked reliable support. I can compose an absentee letter on Yuji's behalf," Chihaya clarified in a formal tone.
