𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘, Sabrina hesitated on speaking already knowing the gist of how her aunts would react let alone her alpha sister and cousin.

However, she'd already partially made up her mind about inviting herself a familiar, rather than going to pick one out like their animals when they were just magical beings.

"About that, Auntie Zee," Sabrina spoke with a hesitant look on her face, she honestly didn't know how her wicked aunts would take her humanity. "instead of picking a familiar out of a book, which is so, I don't know, dehumanizing..."

Hearing her younger twin's words, Aristella couldn't help but furrow her eyebrows as there was nothing human about familiars, they were literal shapeshifting goblins.

Other than Hesperia, of course.

"I think that's the mortal in her talking." Aristella commented openly, quick to judge her sister's choice, although not meaning any real harm other than teasing.

That being said she had hit the nail on the head when it came to Sabrina's choice of allowing a familiar to pick her, which was obvious based on the glare Sabrina threw at her.

"Aristella." Hilda scolded her eldest niece softly as she shook her head, not realizing this was nearly normal banter between the two sisters.

"Familiars are goblins who have taken on the shape of animals to better serve their witch masters, Sabrina," Zelda commented ignoring the situation between the sisters, something she felt was normal as it was what she was thinking. "there's nothing human about them."

Heard her eldest Aunt's reaction, Sabrina had already expected it from her, so she'd practiced a couple of different conversations a couple of times last night.

"But I've been practicing a summoning spell I found in the Demonomicon, and..." She argued a bit differently than she'd imagined last night, but still trying to prove her point. "what if I put it out there that I'm looking for a familiar, and see if anyone wants to volunteer?"

At that Sabrina left her question open to the room, however, it was Aristella who would speak up first before anyone else could disagree or comment on Sabrina's words.

"Volunteer," She hummed as she tilted her head from side to side as if mulling over the idea in its entirety, causing Sabrina to look at her questioningly. "not a bad idea, I guess a broken clock is right at least once a day."

With that, the girl shrugged once again leaning back on the counter behind her, at her acceptance of Sabrina's choices, no one else felt as bothered with speaking up against it.

"I think that's a charming idea," Hilda spoke up agreeing with Sabrina's idea, partially ignoring the broken clock comment as nothing but teasing between sisters.

Half-blooded or not.

"What about your baptismal names," Zelda asked curiously as baptismal names were an important part of becoming a true witch of night. "have either of you settled yet?"

That being said, the expression on Sabrina's face almost immediately brightened up a bit having hoped to please her family with her choice of names.

Two of which she'd spent a long time thinking about to honor not only her parents but her family as well.

"I have, as a matter of fact," Sabrina spoke as she looked between her family, anxious for positive reactions as she'd spent days thinking about it. "Edwina Diana."

With that Sabrina paused to take in the expression of her surrounding family, hoping for positive reactions rather than the negative ones she'd sadly and silently been expecting.

"Edwina, which is almost Edward, to honor my father, and Diana, to honor my mother," She continued to spin when she didn't see any snide reactions, physically turning to look between her Aunt Hilda to Aunt Zelda. "not just to honor them...to be closer to them, to have them with me as I walk the Path of Night."

Finishing off her reasoning, Sabrina was almost immediately met with respectful nods from three out of four of her family members, it being her Aunt Hilda who instead began to tear up.

"I said I wasn't gonna cry." Hilda couldn't help but mumble as her lip slightly quivered, the woman only able to glance up at the ceiling.

Waving her hand lightly in front of her face to lessen the tears that had started to build up in her eye's waterline, this being a day she'd spent many nights dreaming of.

Another day closer to not one but both of her little nieces hoping the church of night, just as she and her sister had, and just as her brother, their father, had.

"I guess I'll give it to you," Auristela muttered under her breath just loud enough to draw everyone's attention, her usual teasing smile on her face as she continued. "they aren't complete shit."

With that her smile turned into a snarky smirk, clearly meaning the best by her words, ones that only caused a small dip in the smile on Sabrina's face.

The teenage witch was already used to the back-and-forth banter between her and her sister, yet not everyone was used to seeing either of the two being snarky to the other.

Their usual remarks were out of the sight of their family; which was clearly shown by the gasp that left her aunts, and the wide-eyed amusement on Ambrose's face.

The only male of the Spellman household having long seen plenty of negative banter between Spellman siblings given his long time amongst them.

"Aristella Spellman you will fix that crass language," Zelda scolded immediately after she gasped, her head quick to swivel toward Auristela. "not only is it unladylike it's very inappropriate."

Hearing her Aunt's attempt at scolding her, Auristela did the right thing in lowering her head and dropping her smirk in exchange for a look of apologies.

However, it was hard to feel the guilt and embarrassment of being scolded by someone who often ignored your presence when the two of you passed in the hallway.
