A Slumber Party Massacre

Chapter 3

         Fin's house after school. The boys all gathered in Fin's room upstairs. He helps up a small zip lock bag full of ice to his head. Ash lay on the bed texting a guy he matched with on a dating website, he sat up and took a photo of himself to send to the guy he was trying to hook up with, luckily for him it's never hard to get laid with whoever he wants.
Jacob was looking through his math homework, he was completely clueless. He should have paid more attention in class than drawing pictures of flowers in his notebook.
Key came up from the kitchen with a cup of tea he made for Fin. "Careful, it's hot," he said handing it to him.
"Thanks, oh god, everything hurts," Fin said.
"Well think of it this way, you no longer have to worry about her constantly being on your ass 24/7," said Jacob shoving his books back into his bag.
"You guys don't understand, she meant the world to me, I mean I felt a connection between us the first time we met,"
"Finny face it, Elle was a crazy bitch, and you're better off," said Jacob.
Fin didn't like the mean comments Jacob was making towards his ex-girlfriend. She may have beat him up during lunch, but he was extremely heartbroken, that was his first girlfriend.
"Plus, she did kinda hate us," said Key.
"She just needed to get to know you guys better," he said.
"You know, if you'd ask me, it seemed like she was pretty pissed at you back there," said Ash.
Key and Ash sat next to Fin on the bed.
"I don't know what happened, I mean it all started last night at Ash's party. She left the party without letting me know she was heading out, and she never messaged or called me, I left her voicemails and messages and she never even opened them, I don't understand if I did anything?"
"Think back to the party, did you maybe do something that would upset her like that?" asked Ash.
Fin thought about the moment they walked in, she said she was going to leave him on his own so she could be with her friends, after she left him he met up with the boys, and then he thought about the time alone he spent with Key, no, it couldn't be because of Key, they didn't do anything but have a drink together and talked on the sofa.
"I can't remember too much." He said.
Jacob knew a way that would probably distract Fin from the horrible day he was having, "Hey, well now is probably a good time to bring up the surprise I had for you guys! I know you're having a bad day, but what if I told you I could give you the most magical weekend?"
Fin was curious how he could cure such a bad day like today.
"I got us a cabin all to ourselves, the whole weekend!" The boys seemed excited. Ash jumped up in joy, Key had a big smile on his face, and Fin gave a slight smile. They all loved spending the weekend together, just the four of them. Fin was happy, he was impressed that Jacob had a way to cure his sadness, besides weed.
The boys all got up and left to go pack, Jacob informed them that they left tomorrow morning. Fin looked through his closet looking for a gym bag big enough to fit his clothes and essentials. He packed his deodorant, toothbrush, moisturizer, and vitamins, he stood looking at a pack of condoms he had on his nightstand from when he had Elle over. He didn't think he'd be needing them anymore, but if there's one thing Elle taught him he should always be prepared, you never know when you'll need it. He packed the condoms in his bag and was ready for the morning.
Key went home and packed his clothes and essentials as well. He packed his drawing notebook and personal journal as well. His mom had gifted him a Polaroid camera for his 13th birthday, he packed it to take lots of pictures with his favorite people to make memories.
Jacob had taken his van to the wash to get it cleaned for their trip.  He gave the guy from the wash an extra $5 tip for the beautiful job he had done.

It was the next morning. Fin was woken up by his alarm clock at 8:00 AM. His face was covered in dried drool, eye boogies, and the messiest hair ever. He got up, right into his bunny slippers, and straight to the restroom.
When he returned to his room he received a message from Key saying to be ready and out in 5. Fin grabbed his two bags and walked straight to the living room where Cory was sitting on the couch eating a bowl of cereal, he was watching his favorite cartoon 'Sonic The Hedgehog', and he quickly questioned his older brother, "Where're you going so early?"
Fin sat his bags on his dad's recliner chair, "I'm off with my friends, we're going out for the weekend," he said walking to the kitchen to pop a Hot Pocket in the microwave. "The whole weekend?"
"That's right, and don't ask me to bring you back anything! I can assure you there won't be any souvenirs where I'm going,"
"Where are you going?" Cory sounded more worried and curious.
"My friends are taking me to a cabin," Fin's Hot Pocket was done and he took it out only to burn his hand.
The sound of a car pulling into the driveway alerted Fin that it was time to go, "All alright look, I'll be back tomorrow, tell mom I love her when she gets out," He grabbed his bags and headed for the door only to be stopped by Cory running up to him and hugging his big brother, "I love you Fin, please take care of yourself," he said.
Fin had never felt this type of love coming from his little brother, he was touched. "Love you to buddy,"

Jacob's van was parked outside with both Key and Jacob inside, they had to make another stop to pick up Ash. "Did you bring the book?" Asked Jacob. "yes I did," Key said pulling out a hard-cover book from his luggage, "Alright cool, let's hide the goods before anyone sees us," He said pulling out his bag of weed from the glove compartment. The boys hid the bag inside the book, a safe storage box disguised as a book.
Fin walked out and Key stepped out to open the door for him, they got in and were off to pick up the remaining boy.
"Good morning!" Said Jacob, "Good morning guys!"
"How'd you sleep last night?" Asked Key.
"You know, I still had dreams of her," Fin was ready for this vacation so he could get his mind off Elle breaking up with him like that.
"Don't worry bud, this weekend with the boys is going to be amazing! I'm sure after tomorrow you won't be thinking of her no more,"

The van pulls into Ash's mansion, they see him running in sandals from the front door. "Look at his guy! Is he seriously running with sandals  right now?" Jacob was teasing him. Fin opens the door for him. "Hey guys!" Ash said hopping in the van out of breath. "Dude you realize the cabin isn't leaving, you had no reason to run like that," They all laughed at Ash's running. Finally, the van was full and they could officially head to the cabin.
