Origin, did it have to be raining right now?
He thought to himself as he scowled and slid off his soaking wet shirt, his sandy yellow wings felt heavy and it made his back hurt a lot.
He draped his shirt over a tree branch before he sat down and brought his knees up to his chest and he wrapped his wings around him to provide some sort of warmth against the harsh and cold wind of the storm. He ignored his body's tremors as he tried to think of his next move.
He didn't have a lot of options since he was exiled from his kingdom so he had to work with what he could.
He had lost his bag earlier when he stupidly tripped on a tree root and tumbled down hill. He growled at the memory as he scoffed and buried his face into his knees.
The king should learn a thing or two about humor, he got exiled for having fun for crying out loud! Well, he did practically— kind of— killed a Steve but he was just a minor casualty!
He huffed in frustration at his own thoughts as he hung his head up and winced when he made contact with the hard tree trunk behind him. His stomach growled and he groaned softly before he mentally slapped himself for tripping.
He closed his eyes and tried to drift off to sleep but that's when he felt the ground rumble and a white streak crossed the sky before a thunderous boom echoed followed. His hands balled up in frustration and also as a way to stop himself from screaming in anger. He felt the feathers of his wings stand slightly and he quickly yanked his still soaked shirt before making a dash to another tree.
The tree he was under before got struck with lighting and a loud thunder rung in his ears, he winced at the volume and he reflexively covered his ears.
Tears pricked his eyes as he harshly pulled on the strands of his bright blonde hair before he cried "Why can't I get a moment of peace?!" His heart started to race as he felt his power course through him. He saw the veins in his forearms start to spark with lightning and the storm seemed to be getting worse in response to his outburst.
He felt a tinge of panic before he hesitantly took a deep breath and tried to calm his uneven breathing.
The lightning around his forearms dissipated after a few moments and the storm got a bit better.
He groaned in irritation before he thought "Why are you like this?" "I don't know." He replied to himself as he sat down and curled up into a ball and wrapped his wings around him.

He woke up to someone gently shaking him. His wings unraveled around his body and he looked up to see who it was, his eyes took a moment to adjust before a voice asked him "Are you alright?"
His eyes finally adjusted and he saw a green Steve, who was crouched in front of him, with his bag in his hand. He was surprised by the appearance of someone else but he groggily replied "Yeah," He pointed at the bag before he asked "Where did you find that?"
The green Steve looked at it before he replied "I found it a few blocks away, is it yours?" He nodded and the other Steve handed him the bag back politely.
He opened it to check in case the green Steve had taken anything of value or important, an audible sigh left him when he saw nothing got taken. He pulled out a piece of bread before biting down on it. "So, who are you?" The green Steve asked as he stood up and extended a hand out for him to take.
He grabbed his hand before pulling himself up with a small stumble. He hesitated in responding as, maybe, word had spread into the other kingdoms about his crime.
"I'm Hero, you?" He finally replied after silence and the green Steve said "Vial, nice to meet you."
He stared up at the green Steve, whom he now knew as Vial, before he realized how dwarfed he was by the latter.
"Is something on my face?" Vial asked jokingly and he realized that he was staring. He shook his head as he swallowed and replied "Nah, sorry for staring."
Vial chuckled softly before he pointed at his bare torso and said "You may want to put your shirt on."
His face flushed in embarrassment before he frantically searched for his shirt. He took his shirt and slid it back on, shuddering slightly at the coldness of it in contrast to his warm body.
"I have to ask," Vial started as he crossed his arms and placed a hand on his chin before he tilted his head to the side slightly and asked "Why are you in the forest? This area is unmarked by the Yellow Kingdom."
He chuckled awkwardly as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other and he forced a smile on his lips before he replied "I got lost since it was so dark." Vial hummed in understanding as he gestured for him to come closer.
"Follow me, I'll lead you to the Green Village and we'll get you checked up properly." Vial said as he nodded and shrugged on his backpack before he walked towards the green Steve.
"Wait, we?" He asked in confusion as Vial turned to face him and pointed to a branch above him. He looked up and another green Steve sitting on the branch casually, seemingly have silently listened to their conversation. "And who's he?" He asked as Vial answered "That's Gem, he's quiet so I hope you don't mind it."
He hummed in acknowledgement before he heard a dull thud next to him as Gem landed on the ground. His wings twitched when he saw just how dwarfed he was by the two green Steves.
"Let's get going." Gem said as Vial nodded and gestured for the two of them to follow him.
Hopefully he won't develop feelings for one of these guys.
