"Lilah, slow down, please!" His voice pleaded from behind her, which only made the girl hurry her steps, hot tears forming in her green eyes. Jason grabbed ahold of her hand, pulling her towards him. "What don't you understand? I don't want to talk to you." She snapped, avoiding meeting his pleading stare. The girl tried to pull her hand toward her, but for no use.

"She's lying, Lil. You know she is." He lifted her chin upwards, his eyes desperately begging for her to believe him. But Lilah knew CeCe Drake was telling  the truth,

what could she possibly have to lose?

she wasn't even surprised at that point. he'd only gone further and further down a dark path for the past months. A dark path of drugs and alcohol.

"Why would she lie, Jason? Come on, enlighten me." A tear fell from her eye, as she looked up to meet his conflicted red - eyes. Jason let go of the grip he had on Lilah's arm, replacing it by placing his cold hands on the sides of her warm face. "I could never cheat on you, Lilah." He assured her, slurring his words slightly.

"But you did? Didn't you?" Lilah laughed as she shook her head, tears streaming uncontrollably from her defeated emerald green eyes. The hurt and betrayal hitting her like being continuously stabbed in the chest. "Only you were to stoned to remember." She pushed Jason's hands away from her face.

"Lilah, please—" Jason pleaded, trying to reach for her.

But the girl pulled away, drying her tear- soaked face with her hands. "We're done." She stated, glancing down at her feet and crossing her arms over her light purple top before turning around and continuing to hurry towards the Hastings-barn where her friends were waiting for her.

Jason's heart dropped, as she walked away. But he didn't move. He stayed frozen. Perhaps it had to do with the drugs he'd thrown into his system, or his mind flashing back to spring break, where he and a ex blonde had supposedly messed around.

Either way.

He didn't go after her.

He watched as she disappeared out of his eye sight.

Lilah gazed down at her phone for what was probably the hundredth time. Each time more and more hope disappearing. He hadn't called her, hadn't even sent her as much as a text.
