Y/n's pov:
Los Ángeles, California

"Y/n hurry we're going to be late." My dad came into my room as I was finishing up my makeup. "Dad it's barely 5 and we don't live far. Give me 30 minutes." He rolled his eyes and walked out. "Fine 30 minutes, hurry." He closed the door behind him and I sprayed setting spray to keep my makeup intact for the whole night. I walked over to my closet and grabbed my Kings jersey my dad got me last year and some leggings. Changing into the outfit, I chose my black and white ones over my converse. I did some finishing touches to my hair and grabbed my tiny purse. "Done let's go!" My dad got up from the couch and rolled his eyes. "Finally! We're going to a game not a runway."
I rolled my eyes and walked out towards our car. My mom was already in the car waiting. Dad loves teasing me and I play along with him. "Yeah well if I was on a runway we'd be filthy rich by now." He laughed and backed out of our driveway. "Continue dreaming." The whole car ride there my parents were talking about my older brother graduating and his trip to Italy for the summer. "He's just going to see topless girls on beaches." I laughed and my mom turns to look at me in shock. "That's a thing?" I nodded and my dad laughed too. "Seems like something he'd do, but whatever he wants to do in Italy is his problem. We trust him and he deserves this trip."
"So we're definitely going to Canada when I graduate. Gonna catch a canadiens, canucks and leafs game." "Agreed." We were waiting in line to get through security and they let us in. My dad showed the front lady our tickets and we were in. "Ah home sweet home." "Yup. Can we go get something to eat first? I'm hungry." My dad agreed and we grabbed some food. I obviously got chicken tenders because they're so gooood! "Again? Why don't you get wings or something else?" I shook my head and watched my dad pay for the food. "Nope! Tenders are top tier." They handed us our food a couple minutes later and we made our way to our seats.
"No way! These are our seats?!?" I was in shock when both my parents sat in seats behind the kings bench. "THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" I hugged them and sat next to my mom as we shared my tenders. The game started about 20 minutes after we sat down and they called out the players one by one. But one caught my eye, number 15 Turcotte. "Hey dad he doesn't play for the kings huh? He gets called up?" My dad nodded and went back to watching the players skate onto the ice. They sang the national anthem and then the game finally started. The Kings were playing against the Predators so it was definitely a win. "Imma say we win, 4-1." "Nah, 6-2."
After the first period, we were up by two. Kempe and Talbot both scored a goal only 5 minutes apart. The Zamboni drove by and freshened the ice so I took some pictures of me and posted them with the others I took during the first period. The second period started and we got a power play because one of our players got tripped. "Come on!" I yelled out as the power play started and I saw 15 looking at me. I looked back at him and he didn't look away. I waved at him and he winked at me. "Mom 15 just winked at me." "Future son in law huh?" She teased me and I just rolled my eyes blushing. I was so distracted by him that I didn't see we scored.
There was a minute left in the third period and the score was 4-0. "Damn score at least one goal." It was embarrassing to be swept this bad. The players kept passing the puck to each other to kill time and then the buzzer went off. "Let's go!" My dad started celebrating with the guy next to him and my mom just laughed. The players started walking off the bench and I was posting more pictures when there was a tap on the board in front of me. I looked up to see it was 15 smiling at me again. He pointed at a white board and a marker before he threw them over the boards. I saw it said, number? On it so I wrote mine on there with my first name.
I threw both back over and he caught it. He mouthed a thank you and walked off into the tunnel. "Um did you see that?" I turned back to look at my mom who was just as surprised as me. "Yes! You should definitely talk to him!" I smiled and we started to head out of the arena. On the car ride home, it was quiet and the radio was on. I was looking out the window when my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out to see I got a text from a unrecognized number. Opening it, i knew it was Alex. That's his name, I learned it after searching him up. I decided to answer back thinking what's the worst that can happen.
