Late one night as Alexis is walking around she soon stops to drink from a pond.

"Hey there's one!" A voice shouts as Alexis sees men in the distance with a net.

"Get it!" The men shout as they begin to run towards Alexis causing her to quickly take off in the opposite direction.

"Yikes! What the heck is with these crazy humans!? Can't they see I have a collar?" Alexis asks angrily before stopping in an alley.

"Hey! Over here!" A voice shouts revealing to be a small brown dog behind a dumpster as Alexis hides there with him before the men come looking down the alley.

"Where'd she go?" The man asks.

"Maybe she went that way." The other man says as they leave.

"That was close. Who are you and why did you help me?" Alexis asks as she and the dog come out from hiding.

"Just thought I'd help a dog out. What's a pretty little thing like you doing out here?" The dog asks kindly.

"I'm a show dog. I live near here with a boy named Jack and his parents. I was just out for a nightly walk." Alexis says.

"Dog? But you look like a wolf to me. You look pretty pampered and hungry looking." The dog says as Alexis nods.

"That's because I am a wolf. I'm just more slender than most. I was the runt of my litter. I'm mistaken for a dog easily by humans because of my appearance. It's actually how I got adopted by human boy Jack. But yes I'm very hungry. I haven't ate dinner yet. What are you doing?" Alexis asks as she sees the dog pulling something from behind the dumpster.

"Here. I was gonna eat this myself but you're welcome to it." The dog says as he tosses a cold steak in front of Alexis's paws.

"Don't you want it? You look pretty hungry yourself." Alexis says curiously.

"Well yeah. But who am I to be cruel to a pretty face? Especially one such as yourself." The dog says as he smiles.

"Smooth... But thank you." Alexis says as she begins eating on the steak.

"So what's your name? I'm Tito." The dog says.

"Alexis." Alexis says as she stops eating momentarily to answer Tito's question before going back to eating.

"Well Alexis would you want come with me back to my place? I'm sure my human and gang would love to meet you." Tito says as Alexis looks at him.

"Thanks but no thanks. At least for right now anyway. I need to be getting back to my human. He's probably wondering where I am by now since I always sleep in his room. I'm sure he's noticed I'm gone by now. Only trouble is I have no idea where I'm at no thanks to those blasted dog catchers chasing me.." Alexis says.

"I respect that. But if you're lost I can help you out. I know my way around the city. So I'll walk you back home." Tito says kindly.

"Thanks... You're very sweet. I appreciate this." Alexis says as she finishes eating the steak.

"No problem. Follow me and tell me what your place looks like." Tito says as Alexis begins walking with him.

"Well..." Alexis says.

*Timeskip*

"Thanks again for walking me back home. I really appreciate the help." Alexis says as she and Tito are outside of her doggy door.

"No problem beautiful. Anything for a lovely lady. We'll see you around. I gotta get back home myself." Tito says as he turns to leave.

"Hey wait. I want to give you this." Alexis says as she goes in through the doggy door before coming back out with some pieces of cooked bacon.

"Bacon?" Tito asks as Alexis places the bacon in front of his paws.

"It's left over from my breakfast this morning. Since you gave me your meal I feel it's only fair I return the favor." Alexis says as she smiles kindly

"You're alright. I'll see you around. And thanks for this." Tito says as he smiles.

"You're welcome." Alexis says kindly.

"See ya beautiful." Tito says before he grabs the bacon and leaves.

"Strange dog.. but friendly none the less." Alexis thinks while smiling before going inside.
