Of course, people noticed my change in appearance. I just told them more lies. The lies just keep building up in my life and it's getting annoying. My whole life is a lie.
Tonks and Ginny were talking to me about the changes that will probably occur next. It's been three days, and the next convulsion will appear soon.
"Well, her eyes were bright green, yours are brown." Tonks pointed out on her portrait. I froze at the idea of my eyes changing colour. Shivers travelled up my spine. If it was as painful as the last one... I don't even want to think of that.
Ginny put a hand on my shoulder comfortingly. "It's going to be okay, Hermione."
"Doubt it. Once Harry and Ron find out-"
"Once they find out, they're going to wonder why you didn't tell them." Tonks cut me off.
"You should tell them. And soon." Ginny added.
I signed and got up. I held the picture of my mother in my hand and shook my head.
"Now let's talk about this 'mate' issue." Tonks cleared her painted throat.
"I have no one. No suitable person." I grumbled and shoved my face in a pillow. "I'll end up marrying a chalkboard." I whined.
"Honestly, you won't. There's plenty of people out in the school 'Mione." Ginny explained. "It's the weekend. Let's get you dressed up for Hogsmeade."
After my complaining about Ginny touching my now soft and silky hair, taking two pieces from the front and putting them behind my head then putting makeup on my face, we went out to Hogsmeade. I had a week and a half until my eighteenth birthday. I needed to work fast. I really wasn't comfortable with the situation of loosing my virginity within this time span, but the thought of death wasn't really welcoming. I have just survived a war, and I sure as hell wasn't dying now. I have come to the conclusion in my debate that I was going to live to be nineteen.
I apparated Ginny and I to Hogsmeade and ended up in Honeydukes. "Fancy a hot chocolate at the Three Broomsticks?" She asked entwining her arm with mine. I nodded and we started to skip out into Hogsmeade. It was early September and the air was slightly chilly. First years were throwing snowballs made from wands and I saw Harry and Ronald with them.
Harry noticed me and waved. "Care to join!?" He yelled from across the street.
"No thanks." I shouted back and proceeded to walk with Ginny to the Three Broomsticks.
As we entered, I saw Seamus, Neville, and Luna at a table. Ginny and I joined them. I sat down next to Luna and Seamus. "Well hello there ladies." Seamus' Irish accent rang through the empty restaurant. The only people in here were the five of us.
"And hello to you too my favourite leprechaun." Ginny joked. I rolled my eyes as she ruffled his hair.
"Explode anything lately?" I asked signalling the waitress for two Butter Beer. She came over and gave them to us.
"Hah, hah. Very funny 'Mione. No. Not since you exploded that pimple potion all over me." He signalled to his face where little faint red dots were healing "You're lucky Slughorn had a potion to reverse it." He growled.
"I said sorry!"
Neville was staring at my face with curiosity. "You look different."
"I told you guys I died my hair." I replied taking a sip of my warm drink.
"No, it's just that you have makeup on." Luna stated staring off into nowhere.
"Wow." Seamus chuckled. "Never thought I'd see the day when Hermione Granger wore makeup out for no special event."
