Xander woke up startled, blinking his eyes and looking around, just wondering just where he is. "What the hell..." he mumbled to himself as he got up and brushed off the dirt on his clothes, turning left and right, seeing nothing but trees and grass.
"Hello?! Anyone out there!?" He shouted, receiving no reply.
Seeing no reaction whatsoever, he decided to get up and see where he was, walking to where it seemed the sun was coming from.
As he walked on, he saw a shadow far away. Desperate for help, he ran to it, hoping to ask just where this was.
Slowing down with heaving breaths, he slowly approached it, only to see a...dog?
"Huh? What are you doing here boy? Lost your owner? What's your name?" He lowered himself, petting it's head.
The dog barked at him, seeming like it answered his question. It's tail wagged and walked past him.
Seeming puzzled and confused, Xander followed it, wanting to know where the dog could possibly lead him.
They walked through trees, Xander appreciating the natural beauty of the forest, but still concerned where he was.
The dog barked, cutting off his reverie. Seeing a shack before him suprised him, approaching the door and knocking.
He waited for a couple seconds before knocking again, but having no sound escape the shack, he slowly twisted the knob, opening the door, noting it wasn't locked.
Looking around, he saw the light was on, but no one around. The dog pushed past him, entering the entrance and walking to what looked like a little kitchen.
The dog looked at him, as if expecting to come in. He looked at the place before slowly stepping in, hearing the creak of the floorboard beneath his feet.
As he went inside, he pondered if it would be rude to explore the house if it wasn't his so he ended up sticking close to the dog for the remainder of his stay.
The dog barked, he was pointing his snout up to a cupboard. "Could he be hungry?" Xander questioned himself as he opened the cupboard, revealing realistic human bones.
Xander jumped back, eyes wide as saucers, hands to his chest. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" He pointed at the cupboard, looking at the dog.
The dog seemingly just tilted his head and kept pointing his snout at it. Being alarmed and afraid, Xander slowly looked back at the cupboard, and back to the dog, trying to know what he'll do next was even legal or safe. Having no choice, he slowly crept his hand, reaching out for one and giving it to the dog.
"Are you trying to lure people here so you can eat them?" Xander mumbled, the dog chewing on the bone, pointedly looking at him as if he was offended.
The dog ended up taking the bone with him and started walking somewhere else, Xander following.
The dog stopped, laying down the bone and looking at Xander, and barking at the door."What do you want me to do? Im stuck in a shack and I don't even know if i'm trespassing." Xander huffed as he waved his hands around trying to make a point.
The dog just deadpanned him and bit his pants, pulling him to the door.
"Hey! Hey! No biting!" He exclaimed, pushing it's head back gently. "I don't want to add buying a new pants in my to-do list on top of finding how to get back home okay?"
Xander sighed as he reached for the door knob, opening it. "Wha- it's so dark in here though." He whispered through the darkness, trying to find a switch.
He eventually felt a switch, flipping it and suddenly seeing a black form hovering across him. He let out a girl like shriek, stumbling back and falling to the ground, shutting his eyes tight.
After a few moments, he heard the dog bark, deciding to peek if that thing was gone, he opened one of his eyes slowly, looking around for the form anywhere. Seeing as it was nowhere to be seen, he slowly stood up and brushed off himself.
What the hell was that?? He thought, trying to find his cellphone he forgot he had in his pocket. The dog barked, making him jump. "AAAAHHH WHAT THE FU- oh it's you."
He rubbed his palm in his face, not in favor of how his day has been. "What did you have to do that for?" He questioned the dog, sighing.
The dog just barked and set off down the opened door, which led him down a basement. Holding a flashlight with trembling hands and wandering eyes, he slowly took steps down the stairs, seeing a huge circular table in the middle of the room with a scroll, the walls covered in shelves filled to the brim with books adorned by cobwebs and dust.
"Cool. A weird dog, a weird house, and a weird ghost with what looks like a ritual circle. What a lovely day." He thought outloud, walking to the table.
"Now what's this?" He grabbed the scroll, leisurely opening it, coughing and waving off the dust it accumulated.
It revealed to have been a map of somewhere called Eichinfret. As Xander unfolded the scroll, an numerous numbers of names, in which he didn't know existed in America.
Little did he know, he wasn't in America no more.
As he put down his phone as a weight for the scroll, he saw something written above the map.
"Ut de novo mundo intelligas" He muttered, not knowing just what would happen.
As he blinked, a sprinkle of what looked like golden dust surrounded him and was absorbed inside his body. As he opened his eyes, someone spoke.
"What? You good yet?" A deep voice behind him spoke.
"HOLY SH-" he turned around looking for the voice but, fell down on his butt. "OH MY FU-" "Shush. Nuh uh. No bad words." The voice cut him off, putting a paw to Xander's mouth to effectively shut him up.
Xander moved the paw away with wide eyes, trying to speak. "AM I DREAMING OR SOMETHING?? DUDE THERE IS A DOG OH MY GO-" Suddenly, black overtakes his vision and everything disappears.
