Branches snapped continuosly as leaves flew high when Cinder passed through the forest, panting and covered in sweat.
He dashed in the soil and trees in his wolf form, eyes and paws frantically moving, hoping to catch the perpetrator who kidnapped Xander.
He'll regret ever laying a hand on Xander.
-
It was near midnight.
His limbs were aching, but still he trudged on.
Luckily, his nightvision came in handy during times like these.
He doesn't understand though?
He combed the entire forest, checking every corner and shadow he could find but still couldn't find Xander.
Just who the hell took him?!
"Damn it." He stomped, leaves crunching beneath his paw, huffing indignantly.
-
By the time Cinder had gone back to the shack, the moon was at it's peak, glowing brightly.
Heavy footsteps made it's way inside the shack, his shoes battered and bruised as he let out a deep sigh. He dragged himself to bed, yawning.
What was that creature that captured Xander?
He pondered.
"I have to get him back at all costs..."
He slurred as his eyes slowly closed, drifting off.-
The sun shone rather brightly through the curtains today. He moved his arm to cover his eyes as his mouth slowly turned to a frown.
"I need to get him back."
When he went outside to hunt, the lush green forest just reminded him of Xander who would trip over multiple logs and bump his head on branches, yet would always laugh rubbing his neck with a small blush on his face.
But now, that sweet boy was gone and he was gonna find him. No matter what.
With newfound determination on his mind, he hurriedly hunted animals, ate and then dressed up to find a certain someone...

Cinder is seen drawing a circle with chalk in the middle of a dark, empty room. Many incomprehensible words are scribbled around the circle as Cinder moves around, putting and lighting candles around the circle.
Eundo de mundo nostro in proximum, eamus.
A buzzing sound is heard as a hole opens up on the ground, a galactic void inside.
He looks down the blackness before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath then stepping inside.
He felt like he was sinking in water as air flown through his hair. What felt like a while was mere seconds when he finally stepped on solid ground.
Opening his eyes, he saw a desolate red desert devoid of life. He missed this.
Turning to his a red wolf, he immediately ran, having no clue as to where to go but his paws leading the way as it memorized.
To his home.
After a long trek back, he arrived to a stone house. He turned back to his human self before stepping up to it's door.
He knocked in a rhythm, a code to the person inside. He was immediately knocked down as soon as the door opened.
"I missed you Cinder! Oh how long were you gone hon."
He was on the ground, engulfed in a deathly tight hug. Near literally.
He patted her on the shoulder before getting up but immeadiately getting hugged again.
Cinder stiffened before melting into the embrace again.
"I missed you too... Ash."
He returned the embrace, clutching tighter than he had ever done so before.
"I missed you so..much." he mumbled in her neck, nuzzling to her warmth.
Ash chuckled softly, rubbing his back.
"I just wish I could have came back for another reason." He whispered.
Ash just sighed, shaking her head before asking, "What happened?" she pulled back, looking straight in his eyes.
"I need help..and urgently." Cinder looked down, worried and ashamed.
Ash looked right and left before nodding and taking Cinder back to her house. Inside, she led Cinder to the living room and sat down.
"Tell me about it."
She was sat, (pretty) eyes and ears completely focused on Cinder as she crossed her legs, leaning towards him.
Cinder just regained those butterflies back from all those years ago.
He shook his head before explaining what had happened.
"I had discovered a disciple and as weird as he is, he's quite talented and has made quite a place in my heart."
Cinder turned away as he said those words, embarrased of actually saying that outloud.
"But here in lies the problem. We were to take practice in the woods but this black creature appears and takes him away." His gaze hardens at the mention of the creature.
"He was unfortunately too fast, even for me. He was like a blur you wouldn't be able to pinpoint."
Ash hummed before nodding and standing up.
"I came to you love, since the darkness and fire was always your favorite to study." Cinder stood up, following Ash.
"And you came to the right person darling. Don't worry. Just give me a minute." She scooped up his face, smiling at him. She dropped her hands as she turned away to turn to the shelves stacked with books.
"I'll try to find something." She says last before silence takes over as she skims through the books, finger gliding from one book cover to another, finding the title she had yet to find.
Stopping abruptly, she took out the book, the cover encased in dust and cobwebs from all corners.
Ash tapped the surface of the book, the dust that was settled, floating up in the air like a wave leading the dirt outside.
"Right. I forgot you could control wind aswell besides fire." Cinder rubbed his neck, looking down.
She hummed as she traced the lettering on the cover.
"The Fairytales of Our World? What relevance does that have in the situation?" Cinder asked, brows frowning.
"I saw something..similar. I just wanted to make sure of it."
Cinder let out ah 'ahh' as Ash sat back down, but now in a bigger couch. Cinder sauntered up to her, getting comfortable down beside her.
He moves to place his chin on her shoulder, hugging her from behind as he looked down at the book she was holding on her lap.
As she slowly opened the book, a big flash of light surrounded their vision, sucking them inside the book.
