avery smacked her lips, "why is she playing with you" she said, placing more groceries into sages cart.
"why the fuck you tell her i was fucking with that boy." sage thumbed her sister's forehead.

"owww, i didn't tell ma shit. on grandma i didn't, it was yo bald headed ass brother. get on his ass not mine."

sage hummed, strolling through the grocery store isles. she plans on cooking spaghetti and fish with a side of garlic bread tonight, a simple meal in her new apartment.

she tosses in a few other things as well, just stuff for her to snack on. this dish would last her a few days as leftovers.

"avery go get me some strawberries." sage tells her sister, making the girl roll her eyes and wonder off to the fruit section of the store.

sage tossed in two boxes of capri son into her cart, the drink always reminded her of her childhood. once age felt like she had everything she meets up
with avery at one of the registers.

"hey, found everything you need?" the cashier speaks to sage, making her look up from her purse as she was looking for her card to pay.

he was brownskinned, cornrows going to the back of his head. his eyes were brown as freckles lightly dusted over his cheeks and nose, he went by the name of maree.

"uh- yea i did thanks for asking."

why was she so awkward.

maree gave her a pearly white smile, "it's no problem, you total is 236.57" he tells her, and sage just hummed, putting her card into the card scanner.

"and here's your receipt have a nice day beautiful."

sage gave him a warm smile as she takes the receipt from him without trying to snatch it. "thank you , you have a nice day as well."

avery pushed the cart as they walked out the door of the store, walking over to sages car. "i see you, pulling niggas left and right, and you just moved over here. i'm proud of you big sis."

"avery? shut your mouth."

her sister tossed her hands up in surrender and continued to place the bags into the trunk, sage just didn't wanna admit she was good at pulling people.

they get into the car and sage sighed, pulling her mirror down and looking at her hair, which she needed done. "i need a retwist." she says, a pout set on her lips.

"ask step dad to do it, you know he be doing moms." avery said looking over the receipt and her eyes went wide. "oh my god look." avery pointed, to something on the piece of paper.

it looked to be a phone number.

"hell no, throw that shit out." sage says, pulling out of the driveway and onto the street. "don't settle for one man, just text him and see if you can get to know him."

sage then ignored her the whole car ride, cause what does she look like texting some random ass guy. she don't even like people for real.

7 : 49 pm

avery was staying over for a day or two, sage didn't mind she could help around the house. "do me a favor, go next door and tell chris i'm cooking." sage says, seasoning her fish, just like her mom taught her.

"ugh fine." avery gets up from the couch and opens the front door, then walking next door. she knocked three times hearing footsteps coming to the door.

it was pulled open and her breath was knocked out of her lungs, this was not chris.

"avery! u-uhm hi." jisung tripped over his words, she hasn't said anything. "jisung who's at the- oh.." chris walked over to the door, a smirk onto his face.

chris moved beside jisung and pushed avery into his apartment, closing the door and letting out a breath. "kids these days." he said to himself, walking over to sage's apartment.

"finally, i told avery to tell you i was cooking, where she at?" sage turns to chris, wiping her hands on a towel. "she's over there with jisung, what are you cooking?"

sage decided to mind her business about her sister's love life and not ask any questions. "spaghetti fish and garlic bread."

chris smiled, walking over to the stove and seeing the noodles boiling for the spaghetti. the fish was already cooked.

'wifey material' chris thought, "don't touch anything unless you wash your hands." sage pushed him away slightly making him pout, "i'm hungry." chris says, making sage look at him.

"wait until it's done then." she says making him huff.

chris leans against the counter looking at sage did her thing, "i better get the biggest plate." sage glared at him, "be lucky you getting a fucking plate." she tells him, giving him the side eye.

chris took this time to admire the girl up close, she was truly beautiful. her side profile was perfect, her stomach flat but kinda chunky with a nice pair of tits and a fat ass. even her little feet were cute, her toes painted plain white.

she was all chris wanted in a girl.

"you gonna help or just stare at me."

chris smacked his lips, "girl shut up." he rolled his eyes, making sage burst out laughing. chris chuckled, opening the jars of spaghetti sauce for her.

sage giggles a little, making him turn his head, only for her to burst out in more laughter. "are you high?" he asked, she shakes her head. "you're just so sassy it's funny."

chris shook his head, a small smile on his face.

he could really get used to this.
