tired, sage was just tired.

she lazily walks throughout her job and sighs, getting  sleepier and sleepier by the minute. "girl you need some water," one of her co-workers she befriended walks up to her. the girls name was nae, sage didn't exactly know her real name but nae was what she wanted to be called throughout the job.

"i need some sleep, i'm so tired and it's only like 1 something." sage sighed, glancing at the time on her apple watch. "i feel you, splash some water on your face, you look like you're gonna pass out any minute."

"it's that bad?" sage asked her, and nae nodded her head. "you're almost off, keep pushing girl you got this." nae gives a pep talk, giving her a nice smile as well.

"thank you nae, we should hang out one weekend." sage offered, and nae nodded her head. "of course, text me and we can arrange a date." she smiles.

the two exchange numbers, giving eachother one last wave before they walked off back to work. sage bumps into her brother, giving him a playfully dirty look.

"girl get yo ugly ass out my face." august tells her, pushing her forehead back with his hand. "only thing ugly is you bitch." she said, rolling her eyes and walking away.

just a few more hours.

6:15pm

sage yawned as she walked through the doors of her apartment building, stopping by the mailbox and grabbing her mail.

she jumped feeling a hand get pressed on the small of her back, she turned around, meeting with a head full of hair, she automatically knew who it was.

"hi chris, what's wrong?" sage closes her mailbox, turning her body to him fully watching as he leaned his head up. "i'm tired, i have a wood let's go smoke." he calmly says, removing his hand from her back, making her body feel colder than before.

"can i go shower first?" sage lightly laughs, as they walked to the elevator. chris hummed, he looked so tired and sage kinda frowned. "when you're done knock on my door." chris calmly says, making sage nod her head.

they parted ways as sage walked into her apartment, tossing all her things on the floor next to the door and going over to her room. she grabbed a pair of biker shorts and a crop top and then quickly hopped in the shower.

after her shower she lotions up her body and fixed at her hair, a retwist was needed bad. she put on a sweater, and slid on her nike slides. once she felt like she was ready she walks out her apartment and knocked on his door, which automatically flew open.

"what's wrong? you look so tired." sage frowned, "i'm straight," chris rubbed his eye, trying to get his thoughts together. "did you eat?" he asks as they began to walk down the hall.

"now that i think about it no i haven't ate why?" sage says heading into the elevator as the doors slid open. "i'm just asking, you hungry? ill feed you." chris says, tilting his head back slightly.

sage just hummed, leaning against the mirrored wall. she glanced at chris, to see him already looking at her.

she ignored it, walking out of the elevator when it was at the lobby. they walked to his car and chris opens the door for her, making sage thank you as he jogged to the other side.

he got in and started the car, driving out to god knows where. "you wanna eat now?" chris asks as she pulled up to a red light. sage shook her head and chris hummed, driving once the light turned green.

chris drove her in a wendy's parking lot, since that's what she said she wanted. he pulls a fat ass wood from his glove department, along with a lighter.

"you rolled this?" sage asked and he handed it to her. "nah i made jisung roll for me since he know how to pearl." he pulled his phone out and went to to his camera app.

sage sparked the blunt, pulling it from her mouth as she did a ghost. she passed the blunt to him and he took it, taking a drag. "how was work?" he asked, making sage smile. "it was okay, i was tired ass fuck all day though. i don't know why." she says, taking the blunt as he passes it back to her.

chris hummed, leaning back against his seat as he felt his high take over him, sage found it cute. "i've been wanting to ask you, how was it like in oakland?" chris said, turning his head to her.

sage exhaled and bumped the ash off the blunt in the ashtray chris had in his car before passing it to him. "oakland was cool, it was decent. i just wouldn't move back out there." she says, "i had an okay child hood, we moved to australia once my mom divorced from my dad. she felt like we needed a clean start, away from his crazy ass family."

chris listened to every word she said as they passed the blunt back and forth, he noticed when she got high she talked a lot, he loved hearing her voice anyway.

"here finish that." chris handed her the small roach and yawned. "we just hotboxed the fuck outta your car." she said, taking one last drag before putting it out in the ashtray.

"it's cool, you hungry? yeaa? okay me too." chris smiled, letting all the windows down and pulling into the drive through. sage giggled, watching as chris began to order almost everything on the menu. his munchies were crazy.

after chris got their food he flew back to their apartment, bombarding his way into sages place. he stood at the counter and began stuffing his face, making sage start laughing at him.

"slow down it's not going nowhere christopher."

"i'm high stop leave me alone." he laughed slightly, taking a sip of his drink.

sage smiles, snapping a picture of him on his phone.
