After our little...concert with Gabby and Alex, we all headed outside. I sat with everyone watching as Alex laughed chasing around Hope. I don't think I have seen her this happy sense she had gotten here. But I am glad I got to witness it.
"It is good to see her laugh," Carter says catching my attention. But instead of looking away, I keep my eyes on the scene in front of me.
"Yeah," I say agreeing with him
"What do you guys mean?" Ben asks
"Not our story to tell. But let's just say she deserves the whole fucking world and we are planning on giving her just that," I tell him.
"You guys love her don't you?" He asks. Ben knows about us being in a poly relationship and he doesn't judge. So when he asked I couldn't help but look around at everyone and seeing their faces I knew we all loved her.
"Yes," Carter says answering for all of us.
"Whatever you guys do don't break that girl's heart. I see the way she looks at all of you and I see the way you all look at her but I also see a woman who has been through more shit than deserved," Talia says. She has always been observant of everything and everyone around her.
"Don't plan on it," I tell her. We all look back at Alex who is now cradling Hope in her arms as she lays her back up against the tree. I don't hear what Hope says but the next thing I knew Alex was singing her a lullaby. We all watch the scene with adoration.
