Viserra sat on Daemerea's bed as she brushed her sister's white hair. She hummed a tune as she untangled the braids she had put in earlier in the day.

Rhaenar had assigned a handmaiden to do the girls' hair, but Viserra enjoyed styling and taking care of Daemerea's hair.

It was an opportunity for the sisters to bond. Being only two years apart, the sisters were very close. It seemed to be an inherited trait, as their mother was also two years younger than Daemon.

And they were lucky enough to share a chamber.

"Did Father seem a bit odd today?" Daemerea asked her sister. "Yes, he did. Especially around Prince Daemon."

Everyone noticed their father's demeanor change around Daemon, but no one knew why it did.

"Have any Lords proposed a marriage between you and their sons today? Or perhaps some lords skipped their sons altogether and wanted you as their second wife?"

Viserra let out a small chuckle at her sister's words. Once Daemerea's hair was fully untangled, Viserra moved over to her bed.

Within moments, the elder princess was asleep, leaving Daemerea awake by herself.

Boredom and annoyance finally overcame her as she stood, trying desperately to be as quiet as possible.

Daemerea finally made it outside when she heard something in the room beside theirs.

She noticed that the door was open and curiosity got the better of her as she peaked through the small gap.

She saw Prince Aegon sitting on the ground, a cup full of wine in his hand. Daemerea opened the door wider, slightly startling the boy.

"Helaena?" He asked, but once he saw the girl, he immediately recognized her. "Cousin Daemerea." He said, his words slurred.

"Cousin Aegon." She replied, a slight hint of sarcasm lacing her words. "What are you doing here?" He asked, sounding more like an order than a question.

"I, uh..." In truth, Daemerea couldn't explain why she was there, but luckily for her, she didn't have to.

A woman suddenly burst through the door, running to the boy in her nightgown, grabbing his arm.

It took a while for Daemerea to register who this woman was, but upon closer examination, she finally saw the woman's auburn hair.

Queen Alicent stood with the boy, staring at Daemerea. She quickly started running again, causing Daemerea to follow them.

Before she could get far, however, she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Dae. Come." She heard her mother say.

Viserra and Rhaegar were already standing with their mother, panicked looks on their faces.

"What happened? And where's Aeryn?" Daemerea asked. "There was some kind of fight between Jace, Luke, Baela, Rhaena, and Aemond," Rhaegar answered his younger sister.

"Aemond?" Rhaegar nodded. "Aeryn was also there. We don't know what happened to him."

As they entered the hall, Viserra covered her mouth as she looked at Aemond. There was a long gash across his eye, and the maester was stitching it shut.

Daemerea stared at the boy with wide eyes, somehow managing to give the boy a concerned look.

She looked to the side, seeing Aeryn sitting down on one of the chairs. He had some blood on his face, but other than that, he looked alright.

"Aeryn!" Elaena rushed to her youngest son, embracing him in a tight hug. His siblings also made their way to him, wrapping him in a small group hug.

Queen Alicent, King Viserys, and Aegon were also in the hall.
