Chapter 12: Finding Out

do you remember, in chapter 6 when he said that if a werewolf was kept away from their mate that they would go crazy and eventually die? Well if you didnt i just told you, and if you did, good for you:)

I woke up to the sound of pounding. I slowly sat up and realized that it was coming from my door. Someone was saying something but i was to tired to make out what they were saying, so while i got my ears to adjust i walked over to the door. Right before i got there i recognized Xander's voice, and he was yelling my name. I opened the door quickly.

"What's wrong?" I ask sleepily.

"It's Shea, she said that she needed to talk to you, like, right now so i told her i would come get you for her cause she sounded really shaken up. She's waiting down stairs, but you should at least through some pants on quick." He ended looking down at my boxers and i blushed for a second. I through on a pair of my skinny-jeans, not worrying about not having a shirt on, and headed down stairs.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, I saw Shea standing there with tears in her eyes. When she finally saw me she ran to me and buried her head in my shoulder.

"What's wrong?" I asked her, scared to hear what the answer was.

"It's Jeremy. He's really sick. I didn't want to tell you before because I didn't want you to worry you, but it's really bad," she looked down and really quietly she whispered, "he might die."

I just stared at her not comprehending completely what she had just said. He might die? How was this happening? What was happening? Then it clicked. It was because of me. It was my fault. Werewolf's couldn't be away from their mattes for long periods if time other wise they get sick and die a long painful death. Oh no.

"What can should we do?" I said in a hard voice. She looked at me and saw the realization in them and started to cry harder.

"We can't do anything. There's no way in and dad won't let him out. We can't help him. We can't. He's going to die," she went limp and I caught her before she hit the ground. I handed her to Ex for him to take her to the couch. Ex and her were mates but they haven't told anyone, for obvious reasons, I only know because... Well... I'm me.

"We have to do something," I stated. My two best friends looked at me with understanding.

"What do u need us to do?" Xander asked with a determined look set in his eyes. That's when Nyk, Aiden, and Dante walked in.

"What are we doing exactly?" Nyk asked in his annoying, tell me or I'll pry it out of you voice.

"Nothing that concerns you or the guards in anyway" Ex said as he stepped in front of Shea.

"We were sent to protect you from everything and that's what we're going to do," Aiden said with a determined look in his eyes. Dante was quiet, as per usual.

"Yeah, to protect, not to follow

our every move, this has nothing to do with you or anyone else," Xander said threatening and then a pained expression came to his face when betrayal filled into Aiden's eyes. They were also secretly together, didn't see that one coming, but it happened and I feel really bad for coming between them.

"Lucian? What do you mean by guards?" Shea chimed in. I was about to say something when Nyk put his left hand behind his head and apparently forgot to put his wrist band on because Shea just so happened to see the slightly red mark on his wrist and her eyes shined yellow for a second at the sight of it. That was enough time for all three vamps to come to a conclusion on to what she really is. They all hissed in response and got into a crouched position.

"What the fuck Lucian!!! Bringing a werewolf into the house!! Are you crazy?!" Nyk halfway yelled still glaring at Shea.

"This is my house, you have no room to tell me what to do. Now you guys can help me or get out of my house!" I stared him down, waiting for his answer.

"What do u need help killing the thing?" Nyk asked with a new excitement.

"No we are going to help a werewolf. More importantly, my mate." I said very calmly. Everyone went silent.
