Chapter 17: Ready

I landed on the ground and went straight to Jeremy. He was still in werewolf form, not having the energy to change human. He was laying on the ground breathing heavy and looking like he was about to pass out. I rushed over to him and lightly petted his head, not knowing what to do.

Xander landed next to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "He doesn't look so good...." He said it quietly, but the words still brought me to my knees. I couldn't help it, I wrapped my arms around Jeremy's neck and berried my face in his fur black fur. He is a beautiful wolf but his fur was dull and I could feel the bones of his shoulders like there was no muscle left. My tears made their way from my eyes to his fur as I just laid there. I felt so helpless.

"Luccy...." it was Aiden.

"What is it?" I was trying to get a handle on myself, this was no time to break down, things still had to be done.

"Um... well... Uh...."

"Spit it out!" I was really getting impatient and it was starting to show.

My sudden outburst made him jump but he got ahold of himself quick and took the stance of a fighter, something he hadn't done in a while. "I had been talking to Shea while we were keeping watch back at the werewolf's house and I know how to make him better," his voice was monotone and he didn't even look at me once. Then I realized that when I snapped my voice slipped into my 'prince' voice causing everyone to go rigid, except for Jeremy of coarse but I think he might be asleep anyways.

I sighed and calmed myself down. "I'm sorry, now what did she say would help?"

"You two have to Mate, it's the only way," he said it softly, finally looking at me, with worry deep in his eyes.

"Oh..." I looked down at Jeremy, he looked so fragile, but he was still twice my size... I didn't know if I was ready for this, but if this was the only way to save him, i had to be. All I did know was that I loved him and I couldn't watch him die.

I looked over at Xander and Dante, "can you help me?"

They both nodded and picked him up gently. I tried to help, but they just took him into the house and up the stairs. Aiden walked over to me and hugged me, "everything's going to be alright. He's going to be okay."

Hugging him back, I sighed, "what if he's not? What if we were too late? And what about Ex? We can't just forget about him! What's going to happen with Xander, how is he going to take all this when it starts to actually sink in?" I was starting to hyperventilate.

"Shhh, Don't worry about it, just worry about getting Jeremy better, okay? You are not Lucian right now, you are Luccy because that's who we all need. I will take care of everything else. Just help Jeremy," he gave me one last squeeze and walked it to the house.

I followed him and then made my way upstairs.

They had laid Jeremy on my bed and covered him in the thick black quilt. He had slipped into his human form and his beautiful eyes were looking at me with such an intensity I swear he could see my soul. If u had one of coarse.

"Luccy," he said quietly reaching his hand towards me. I rushed over to him and grabbed his hand. "Hi," and his usual goofy smile spread across his lips.

I smiles in relief, "hi."

Sitting up slowly, he patted the space on the bed beside him. I crawled in next to him and laid my head on his chest. "I'm not going to make you if you aren't ready," he said softly running his fingers through my hair.

"But, but you'll just get sicker..."

"I don't care, I won't do that to you. As long as I'm close to you, I won't die, I'll just be sick, that's all," I could hear that it was starting to get hard for him to speak without showing the pain he truly was in.

"I'm not going to let you be in pain," I stated most confidently than I felt.

"But.." he started but I silenced him with a simple kiss.

"I'm ready," and I kissed him again but a little harder. Our lips moved together and he pulled me onto his lap so I was straddling him, his hands running under my shirt sending shivers down my spine.

He licked my bottom lip asking for entrance, which I granted. A moan escaped me when our tongues connected. Jeremy explored every inch of my mouth with his tongue and every inch of skin he could reach with his hands.

I am defiantly ready for this.
