"Is this how females run their friendships?" He asked, a hint of amusement in his voice, noticing the huge grin on my face.

His presence had an inexplicable way of brightening my mood, and his sense of humour, evident from his teasing question, added to the charm that was slowly pulling me into his world.

The casual friendship I was choosing to start was a unique experience for me, and the man, whose name still eluded me, had become a welcome presence in my life.

"I have to test the waters first, mister," I replied with a chuckle as he took a few steps closer, shortening the gap between us. My heart fluttered at his approach, and I couldn't help but revel in his presence.

"You like to push and pull?" His question was accompanied by a mischievous glint in his hazel eyes, and I couldn't help but laugh at his choice of words.

"Maybe I do," I replied playfully, enjoying the friendly banter that had become a defining aspect of our interactions.

He shook his head, a playful grin still playing on his lips. Without saying a word, he turned and began walking towards the entrance of my bakery. My eyes followed his movements, and I couldn't help but admire the way he carried himself, his aura exuding a sense of confidence and charm.

I quickly followed him inside, feeling a mixture of excitement and curiosity. The familiar scent of freshly baked cupcakes that I made while waiting for him and the warm atmosphere of the bakery surrounded us, creating a cosy ambience for our meeting.

Once inside, he glanced around at the displays of frames of cakes and pastries hung on the wall, taking in the sights with apparent interest. "Your bakery looks amazing, Julie. I can see why people love coming here."

I was touched by his appreciation for my business. "Thank you. It means a lot to me. Can I get you that chai latte now?"

He nodded with a smile, and I moved behind the counter to prepare his drink. The familiar routine of making a chai latte helped me regain my composure as I focused on the task at hand.

With the warm cup in my hand, I walked over to where he was standing, and he took it graciously. We found a cosy corner to sit, and as we sipped our drinks, our conversation continued to flow.

It felt comfortable, as if we had known each other for much longer than just a few days. I couldn't help but wonder what had drawn this man back into my life, and I was eager to learn more about the person behind the hazel eyes and charming smile.

"Aren't you going to ever ask me what my name is?" The question lingered in the air for a moment, and I couldn't help but feel a slight pang of curiosity about this mysterious man. He had been a constant figure in my mind, and yet, his name remained a secret.

I set my chai latte aside, a playful glint in my eyes as I looked at him. "You know, I've been meaning to ask, but I wanted to see how long you'd go without telling me."

He leaned back in his chair, his broad frame relaxed and at ease. Crossing his arms over his chest, he chuckled at my playful question, creating a pleasant and lighthearted atmosphere in the bakery. "What if I enjoy being a mysterious man?"

I responded with a raised eyebrow, a glint of playful disbelief in my eyes. "You really are a fan of intrigue, aren't you?"

With a chuckle, he continued our light-hearted exchange. "Maybe I am."

As I leaned forward, eager to continue the conversation, I inquired, "So, are you going to tell me your name now?"

His hazel eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, and he leaned in a bit closer, creating an air of anticipation. "How about we make it a game, Julie? You can guess my name, and if you get it right–"
