Today was off to a rough start, and it was just the morning. Out of nowhere, a mysterious girl appeared and interrupted me grabbing some cash for lunch, preventing me from dealing with the irritating bastard who had pissed me off. Her grip on my hand was unexpectedly strong, almost crushing it.
As time dragged on, my arm became nothing but a distant memory, numbness creeping in like an unwelcome guest. With every passing moment, I clenched my jaw, determined to push through the agony coursing through my veins.
"Stop calling me weak!" I shouted, my free hand clenched into a fist, poised for a confrontation. Screw societal norms about not hitting women or even giving her the honor of being my girlfriend; she needed a reality check.
I could feel the blood rushing to my head, my anger rising as I threw my fist forward.
My fist made contact with a resounding smack, causing her face to turn slightly to the right.
Remarkably, she still didn't release my hand, and my clenched fist remained pressed against her left cheek aching upon impact. Her disheveled brown hair momentarily concealed her eyes, leaving her expressionless.
I was inexplicably frozen, unable to tear my gaze away from her face, nor could I withdraw my fist. The strange girl's face returned to its original position as it pushed against my fist, her brown eyes appearing once more. They exuded a wild, untamed intensity, complemented by a wide grin that made it evident she was relishing the situation.
I couldn't help but wonder what the heck was up with this chick. I mean, seriously, her body's like frickin' iron, and she's just grinning like a maniac after taking a hit to the face. "What the hell?" I thought, totally confused by her weird reaction. She's definitely not your average girl, that's for sure.
Honestly it truly at this moment that I knew that I really had fucked up. I felt a sharp, intense pain as she tightened her grip on my hand and proceeded to crush it. I could feel the bones inside almost crunching together as I screamed out in pain, getting on my knees.
"You were saying?" the strange girl inquired, still squeezing my hand tightly, causing me more agony.
"Please...stop..." I whimpered, the pain overwhelming me as I tried my best not to cry.
"Stop?" she echoed, her grip becoming more merciless as she brought her face closer to mine, her long brown hair tickling my cheeks. She whispered in a voice that was low, yet menacing. "Why should I?"
"Damn it..." I silently scolded myself as she pulled her face a few inches away. "She's so attractive..."
I clenched my teeth, trying to refocus. "Not the time for that, brain."
"Boss!"
My eyes widened as a familiar voice reverberated through the alley. The mysterious girl and I both turned our attention to the entrance, her grip on my hand loosening slightly, thank god.
