Jelly's room

"Hehe... I'm sure Ena's friend would like this bow! It's so cutie cute. I should probably meet them sometime? They seem so interesting?"

Jelly was putting together a cute pink and black bow as she went to go over her notes on music techniques.
"Ado's vocal distortion is amazing! I could never.. Bro.. Her whistle note is G6? I can hit that note now."
She set the bow down and went to her laptop.

"Are you really doing another analysis... Shouldn't you be in school?"
KAITO sighed as he came to check in on the second year.
"Mhm! How could I not? Also I take night classes so in the day I can focus on music."

KAITO looked around the girls room seeing her laptop opened to a program, along with her Tablet and earbuds with a notebook of some song lyrics with annotations.
"What are you working on?"

"Glad you asked! I was gonna tell you anyways but basically I want to attempt Ado's cover of 'Aishite Aishite Aishite' BRO IT WAS SO AMAZING!"
Jelly went to take out her notes.
"So on this part she did something I learned is called Ingolata? SHE ALSO DID A SCREAM AT G6 AGAIN!! HER COVER IS SO AMAZING. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CALL IT BAD? LIKE.. LET ME HEAR YOU SING!"

'There she goes again..' KAITO sat down to prepare for another rant.

"NO BECAUSE HER COVER HAS SO MUCH EMOTION. THE FLAVOR!! BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE ARE FLAT AND HAVE NO EMOTION IN IT AND I CAN'T STAND THAT... I hate listening to music when there's just this emptiness in it. In this uh.. Boy band I like. They made a rock version of their song but"

Jelly ran to get her laptop taking it out and opening another tab.
"It bothered me so much! I try to like it but Im sorry... The Original version is so much better. The rock version makes me feel like its missing something, most music in this world especially where I was born is missing so many things in it. The Rhythm, the feeling, the techniques to help them, breath support, not to mention the lyrics.. If it's matching the BPM" she started to snap her fingers before going to her past tabs to show some singers.

"I can't stand it! THESE PEOPLE HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL IN THEM BUT THE MUSIC IS SO UGH!! WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT?" Jelly moved another tab to tab to tab.

"So I kinda.. I just took it apart and did what I want to hear. Like this one!"
She pressed play and moved it the laptop closer to KAITO.

"Hm... I see what you mean now. I do like your version of it better but why are you so into music? I thought you were going to quit"

KAITO's comment caught Jelly off guard. She closed her laptop and sat down on her chair, moving closer to her desk.
"I don't know... Music has always interested me. I do know I get a little crazy, but i'm not going to share it to the world anymore."

Jelly put her legs up as she hugged them close against her chest, resting her head on her arms. "Nobody wants to hear my voice... It's unnatural, a freak-ish curse. My music may be good but what's the point of posting it when nobody will play it because of my voice."

"Jelly... I Like your natural voice? An did to-"

KAITO jumped seeing the girl throw her notebook but thankfully he's a hologram. She stood up from her seat and went to turn off her laptop. Slamming it shut.

"THEN WHY DID SHE STAY WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS THE VOICE EVERYONE LOVES!... ASK ANYONE AND THEY'D PICK A VOICE LIKE HERS OVER MINE!"

"I don't know... You're only going to make fun of me and you wouldn't like to sing with me anymore" The two girls were sitting in one of the booths of An's dad's cafe.
An was curious of hearing her natural voice instead of the soft pitchy one she forces.
"I wouldn't stop singing with you because of it!? You're my partner. I'm going to stay with you no matter how high or low your voice is."

"Promise?"  "I promise."

Bookstore SEKAI

Jelly was in the top floor of the bookstore, she was looking up at the clear skies of the strange world she's created. Next to her was her sketchbook and some homework assignments she needs to finish before her next night class.

"God, why must I have this voice. Am I just not supposed to sing at all?"
She sighed while having her long hair wrapped around herself.

"Or is it because I'm not as pretty as other girls that I couldn't get away with it. Maybe if I was like sexy or something I could... But I'm not. I'm not cute or pretty either..."
Jelly decided to just accept it. The music world has no place for freaks like her, and it never will.

"Don't let go of your feelings, Jelly."
Miku thought, she's been watching the teenager from behind the bookshelves.
"I know I'm not the best Miku out there... I'm failing to protect her feelings. She doesn't even trust me with them."

Miku turned away walking back down stairs to the bottom floor were KAITO was closing up his coffee shop.
KAITO was cleaning the tables, ordering things ahead of time, restocking them just usual things he does.

"How can I become more like you? At least she has someone she can go to. Even if it's not me"
Miku smiled before running up to KAITO
Tackling from behind "MIKU? I COULD'VE DROPPED THE BOX OF COFFEE BEANS!!"

"hm.. You seem like you'd be half 43 or 44 if we were given official ages"

".... Miku."

"Yeah KAITO?"

"Fuc-
