Upon climbing down the same ladder for the attic and going downstairs, Winner didn't smell the familiar smell and sound of Bottle cooking dinner in the kitchen.
They peeked around the corner, and as they did, they saw Bottle with her phone. Bottle noticed Winner as well and made her way towards them. "I'm gonna be ordering food," Bottle said. "Is there anything you want?"
Winner was still a bit shaken by the previous encounter, thus they felt quite anxious. "Uhh-hmmm... I-I don't know... pizza?"
Pizza has been a comfort food for them as well as Clock before his sudden disappearance.
Bottle, on the other hand, was beginning to notice the former was slightly trembling and showed signs of being really worried. This wasn't normal...
"Uh, is there something wrong?" Bottle asked with slight worry in her tone.
Winner looked up at Bottle while trying to regain their normal expression. "I'm fine, I really am. Thanks for your concern though."
However, the clear glass bottle in front of them was still worried. Winner wasn't like this for no reason, and Bottle just wanted to help.
"Are you sure?" she asked, which made Winner look a bit surprised
They sighed and looked up at Bottle.
"Do you promise not to tell everyone?"
Bottle was intruiged. "Yeah. Whatever it is I won't talk about it... now what is it?"
Winner led her to the couch and sat down. They then closed their eyes and took a deep breath.
"I know what happened to Clock. He was turned into a robot after he died, and once he disappeared the robot got shut down..." they mumbled.
Bottle audibly yet quietly gasped at this. "How would you have figured that out? I don't think Clock was a robot this whole time..."
"I was looking in the attic. I'm scared of robots..."
Winner looked down as Bottle started comforting them. "It's alright. I'll order some pizza if that's still what you want."
Winner nodded in agreement. The taller one ordered 2 cheese pizzas, put her phone down and rubbed Winner on the back to comfort them.
A few months passed and the whole Clock robot thing was a secret kept between the two of them. Winner and Bottle were the only two who knew what happened to their teammate, and that may as well have caused them to become closer as friends.
They would do more stuff together than they would have several months ago and sometimes... they would have conversations about the incident and what the proper way to bring Clock back would be.
Sometimes, when they talked about this and Winner got visibly nervous at the idea, Bottle would notice and change the subject. This used to happen a bit more, but nowadays it wouldn't.
One day Bottle noticed this gradual change and bought it up during a conversation. Currently, they were in the den upstairs, talking while eating cookies off the coffee table.
"Y'know, lately I've been noticing that you've been getting less worried when we bring up Clock's current situation," Bottle mentioned.
"Oh, you think so?" Winner began while smiling. "I've been trying to get over my fears. I just really miss Clock, and having such a dumb irrational thing keep getting in my way would make that impossible."
"That's pretty cool, Winner! How would you say you're doing now?"
Winner began thinking, and shortly came up with an answer.
"Well, I think I'm doing a lot better! Back then just the thought of seeing a robot would give me anxiety, but now..."
Before they could finish talking, Winner noticed something in the corner of their vision. It was Cloudy, who had been there for a bit, long enough to hear Winner and Bottle talking.
"What about Clock's current situation?"
