Their growls fill the air as they snarl, baring their teeth to me. Others pound their chests burying their hands to the dirt

Lowering myself, I'm ready.

Two come for me landing one swing, the other hooks my arm as a fist hits my temple. Ducking one punch it hits the mate momentarily disorienting him. Taking the chance I pull free, sweeping his legs from underneath, knocking him out with a stomp to his temporal. A women swoops me of my feet slamming me to a tree her teeth burrow into my side. Snarling  clasping my hands together and hammering her back proves fruitless. Extending my plans and slapping both ears her head sways with the ringing. My knee burrows into her stomach. Her release allows my hand to dislodge her heart, splatting to my feet along with her body.

The blackened wolf circles, gaze not leaving, watching, assessing. Heat trickles along my skin in his eyes and no matter how focused on the fight I am I can feel him, hear him, smell him...

The upper cut snaps her head, silver glints near my feet. Wasting no time, I flick the blade with my foot, catch and bury to the hilt into her eye. A blood curdling scream passes her lips, falling to her knees. Placing a foot to her shoulder and pushing her free, my weapon is released. My hand instinctively comes to my side, pulling away. Ripping the damaged fabric from my torso I stand there, large punctures spread across my middle and back. Panting I look back to the others.

                        **********
I watch her glistening in sweat, bloody, injury exposed. Eyes not leaving hers, she rips from the shirt, chest heaving with every pant. Heat crawls along my skin, mouth salivating at her neck. Impatience and frustration swirling within me.

"Shes good" Rosalind fills my ears

"Who is she ?" The pause has me aware of her shrug

"Find out" comes harsher then intended

"Want me to take her ?"
"No" snarling back "she's mine"

Graze wounds cover her shoulders and her bite is yet to stop bleeding. But the rogues either lay whimpering or dead.

Snarling they limp aside. Her body drops to her knees, quivering. The site is quite arousing. Pulling on her matted chestnut hair, head rolling up to mine I squat to her, head tilting. Her breath brushes my lips filling my nostrils, my own parting. Her lids heavy she looks to me, eyes green with a small ring of brown circling the pupil. Eyes never wavering from mine.

My heart hammers with a smirk after hearing hers increase with my touch

"Tired ?" Head still tilted to hers

"I could go a few rounds" breathless laugh leaving her lips. Swallowing hard, pain briefly flicks across her features

"Shame ... Don't think you could handle it.." my voice a groan

"No ?" Her brow raised to my smirk, panting. Dirt fills my eyes from her open hand and a burn splits through my brow. Growling she's thrown, a thud filling the space where she lands

"Pack leader like you .. and that's .. all you got !" Her coughs ragid, blood spat past her lips. My hand cups my eye coming back with blood. In her hand I see the glint of the dagger. Snarls erupt around me threatening intervention

"Don't. She's mine" snarling I bound for her, Rosalind blocking my path

"Look" she looks to dawn. Past her I see the women slipping away. One last glance to me over her shoulder. I watch the mist of her breath pass her lips, the haunting brush of it crossing mine

Snarling my fists rip through the bark of a near by tree. Frustration flowing through me

                          *********
Gripping my side, there's only one thing left for me to do, run. I know his intent on having me, catching me but I can't allow it. With every heave and grunt I'm sliding on the wettened surface

Make it to the ditch just make for the ditch

I can feel his eyes, their intensity has my stomach all knotted. Casting him one last look, his eyes on mine. A breath leaves my lips and it feels like he breathes it with me. A woman with raven hair blocks my view causing the break. And the distraction. Sliding down the ditch I make a run for it. I'm slow but the break of dawn seems to be my protector.

"Just need to make the river" wading to the water the current drags me, carrying me home.

"Her eyes are opening" silhouettes cloud my vision "Amaris, can you hear me ?" The voice sounds familiar

"Don't get up, but you gotta hear us"

"Luca" he nods, a hand taking mine

"I'm here to Amaris" Lunas thumb draws circles

"You've broken three ribs, splintered shoulders and a deep open wound to the abdomen that needs rinsing"

"What's it mean doc ?" Luca speaking for me. The Doctor looks gravely to me then my friends

"we need to re break her ribs in order to set them .." that has me. Snatching my hand free. Struggling for breath I sit

"Someone grab her" Pushing Luca back, an arm circles my torso. Screams leave my lips as cracking fills my ears.
